Lucky Wok — Restaurant in Burlington

Apon arriving the look is very minimal, not at all inviting. The food was piping hot, but there were issues. Let me start off by saying they don't allow substitutions, so don't bother asking. Starting off with the food and taste of the food. Start we got combo dinner for 6, everything was piping hot. We will start in complete order of the food and taste. First was the egg rolls, these aren't your traditional egg rolls, they're smaller but pack a really delicious flavor. Next is the deep fried chicken wings, The wings were over battered and overcooked, leaving them with a very bad taste. Next is the honey garlic ribs, which while we're good in flavor had way too much liquid in the container. Next was the chicken balls, now most families this is a big staple for them. They were dry, small, and tasted just like seafood. Next is the beef with mixed vegetables, The vegetables were not cut uniforms so they weren't cooked properly. There was also a lot of liquid inside the container and very very little beef. Next is the battered shrimp, The shrimp were overcooked and very dry. Next is the Cantonese lo mein, the vegetables were very delicious in this dish but there is little to no noodles. Next is the barbecued pork fried rice, this came in a very small container I would say for a dinner for six it would feed maybe four. In conclusion I would give this food a 3 out of 10, for dinner for six This was a very small meal very little leftovers for a family of four. And the fact that everything deep fried was deep fried in the same deep fryer really left everything...

Regrettably, this restaurant has undergone a change of ownership and has now rebranded as Lucky Wok. Although I had high hopes that the new owner would maintain the restaurant's excellence, my recent order has proven otherwise. The food quality has drastically declined, and I am disappointed to say that I will not be returning and that is shame because had been a fan of China Wok for as long as I can remember, 20+ years, it was simply the best Chinese food in Ontario.

A note to the new owner: This place had a loyal fan base and you will not keep that loyalty with your cheap low quality food. What a waste.

Don't be deceived by the abundance of 5-star reviews; many of them were written when the establishment was known as China Wok. Google should not permit the new owner to retain these old reviews from the previous business, simply because it operates at the same address. This restaurant is now under new management, with a new name, and these outdated reviews from "China Wok" do not accurately represent the experience at this new...

I placed a delivery order well above the $40 dollar minimum for the free wings When I called about the missing wings I was told that it was for cash only and not included with delivery orders Read the menu again and it states any order over $40 get free wings $73.34 before taxes Ordered from the previous owners for years never had any issues Time to find a new place Well it was a long time since the last time we ordered from this place NEVER AGAIN over $100.00 in food ordered and it was terrible, lemon chicken and sesame chicken was way overcooked honey garlic ribs were like biting into beef jerky, hot and sour soup completely changed not for the better, spicy shrimp seemed like they were reheated in a microwave rubbery I thought, let’s give the place another try but it gets an F and my 3/5 star for food changes to 1/5...
