I am not a person to post reviews about anything usually but i just couldn’t stop myself after what i was served. I am a frequent customer of the newyork fries. Before i used to be fan , people were friendly, food was good. But nowadays,it seems like everything is going downhill. I came to this place to order large fries. The fries below were all cold and old fries. The upper ones were hot but very hard and burnt almost. And it is not my first experience like this. It usually happens nowadays. The employees look exhausted and always running around. It is a whole mess. Before when i ordered a poutine, the fries were literally burnt and had very less cheese curds. When i asked the employee, she said it is only supposed to be two small scoop for 1 small poutine .I didn’t wanted to argue with her because it’s the owners fault . 11 dollars for burnt fries and no cheese curds in poutine. It’s literally a scam....
Read moreI used to like New York fries until my visit today, there werre hairs in my poutine ( not from any of us)and they refused to do anything about it. The manager Jenn did nothing about it,( I made it a point to get her name) she got offended and told my wife and son and I to leave. There was no offer to replace the food. She told my son that he wasn’t able to grab another plastic fork as he dropped it on the floor. This place is cheap, I saw the manager yelling at her employees while the poor kids were running around frantically and instead of helping she was just barking out orders, I felt sorry for them. As being a manager in the past myself , a good manager chips in when you hit busy rushes. Anyways back to my experience, was horrible. I have never been yelled at for pointing out something disgusting in my food. The manager Jenn refused to take it back, I threw it out and stormed off....

I worked for NYF around 10 years ago when I was in high school and we were trained to load up the fries and poutine to keep people coming back. A poutine was $6.77 after tax back then. Now they want to charge over 9 dollars for a poutine and the workers cheap out on the toppings. Today I had to ask the worker to put more chili on the works that I ordered as he only put on two small, watery scoops. Even after two more small watery scoops I was let down at how it looked, especially for being “the Works”. I don’t know if the worker was told to be cheap by the owner of this location so I won’t...
