I've been to Pur and Simple a few times within the last few years and wanted to share my experience. I was very disappointed with this location and it's servers. My partner and I had gone for brunch on a Saturday around 2 pm. It was busy so we understood if wait times were longer. However, we get seated and no one came over for about 10 minutes. Finally a server came over, however, didn't introduce herself or anything. She just asked what we wanted. We ordered coffees to start. She brings over the coffees after about 5 minutes, however, she forgot the creamer and milk. She noticed as she dropped off the coffee and said she would be back with the creamers etc. 10 minutes go by again and she comes by to take our order. We reminded her of the creamers and she came back with it after a few minutes. At this point, our coffees were cold so we asked for new ones. Those were brought over right away. Now this is where I got really upset and wanted to leave all together. As my partner is ordering food for both of us (regular breakfast meal for each + a bananaberry waffle and banana berry french toast) - the servers had the rudest look on her face and proceeds to look at me and say "you're going to eat all of that?! thats way too much food for you". I didn't respond back as I was getting very frustrated. My partner then told her it was fine and that we were going to eat it. At the end of our meal (which they got wrong by the way - needed it sent back) she comes over and says "wow great job guys you ate it all". Once she was coming to take the bill, she suddenly got all nice and talkative. Once she saw the 15% tip we left, she quickly changed her attitude and turned around mid sentence. On top of this, she didnt come by once to ask how we were doing during our meal. I have never left a poor review, however, this was one i needed to share. This is the SECOND time this has happened to me (the food comment) within my visits at this location. If that comment had been made to someone who suffered with an eating disorder, the situation would have been different. This could be so triggering. The comment was so rude and uncalled for. Honestly, we should have left 0% tip. Please keep this in mind when going in to eat at this location. You can eat however much you want! No one should tell you different, especially a server who's job is to attend and provide a good service to...

We traveled from southern Indiana where we had been at an all day youth baseball tournament. We should have got a hotel in Windsor but ended up driving through all night and arrived in Hamilton in the morning. We were exhausted and hungry when we walked into Pur & Simple. It was the perfect place for breakfast as the food was delicious and nutritious and the large portion sizes were great because we were all very hungry.

My wife and I had vegan avocado toast. My oldest had poutine and the youngest had crepes. I wanted some hot food too so I ordered a side of potatoes without the seasoning (which is not vegan). My crepe eater tried some of my potatoes and decided he had to have his own order. We all had waters except for the oldest, he had a soda. We're used to fountain drinks and found that soda fountains are quite rare in Canada. He was given a can of Dr. Pepper or whatever he ordered.

I really enjoyed the avocado toast. It was loaded with nutritious foods and paired with a delicious bowl of fruit. The toast had a lot of avocado, tomato, corn, black bean, scallion, sprouts (and I opted for no mushrooms). The fruit consisted of grapes, blueberries, banana, pineapple, kiwi, and strawberry. The side of potatoes was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I didn't taste the regular order with the seasoning since they are not vegan but my kids liked them. Big thanks to our server for knowing the potatoes weren't vegan. The season-less version are really good!

Everyone really liked their meals. My kids couldn't finish all their food since they ordered the potatoes too. They really liked the crepes and poutine they got. The breakfast really hit the spot. I think crepes and poutine would have done me in but thankfully I had the avocado toast. I felt so much better after breakfast and it gave me enough energy to make it through the morning until we could check into our hotel. We all took naps before going out to celebrate Canada Day.

The price was high but we weren't used to paying CAD yet so it wasn't as bad as it looked. The four meals came out to about $75 USD. Not bad for the amount and quality of food. Thank you to Rachel and the kitchen for the...

Went in for the first time intending to have a quick lunch for two people, but left having a really bad experience. Was seated just before 11:40am and ordered within 10 minutes. Smoothie and coffee came very quickly, but 30 mins after ordering, we still had no food. Server never checked in or offered any updates. We were in a rush at this point, and finally called her over to say that we would just cancel the orders if they still hadn't been fired. This is when she tells us the fruit waffle had been ready, but was waiting on the huevos rancheros which was still "2 more minutes". For context, the huevos rancheros consisted of two flour tortillas with a smear of guac and piled with black beans, corn and tomatoes, under two sunny side up eggs - literally the only thing that required cooking on that dish were eggs that don't even take 2 minutes to cook. The side had been upgraded to fresh fruit so they didn't even need to fire up any home fries. There's no way that dish should have ever taken more than 5 minutes to prepare and plate. By the time we got our food, we had to scarf as much down as we could and run. All in all, we were seated for an hour, but ate for only 5 minutes.

What was insulting about the service is that even after we were clearly upset about the long wait, and pointed out other tables that arrived after us receiving their meals that required far more cooking in less time, the only solution the server offered was to have our food boxed to go. No manager came to even apologize or offer a reason for the wait. Everything was billed in full. $60 for breakfast.

Plenty of other breakfast and lunch in the area. Nothing special about this place or its food. Will not be...

This past weekend, we were delighted at opportunity to host a surprise baby sprinkle at this Pur and Simple location (Appleby). From the moment I messaged the store manager Andrew, he was friendly, professional, accommodating and really felt like he wanted to make the vision work. He helped curate a affordable fixed brunch menu for 30 guests and provided space for a backdrop and flexibility to decorate/personalize the table settings to match the fall theme. We were beyond thankful for the creative freedom. We really wanted brunch - and couldn't think of another restaurant that could do it better! The food and service was exceptional! The guest wiped their plates clean and couldn't stop raving about their sweet/savory orders. I believe our server's name was Mary Lou and she was so gracious and kind and so patient managing all the guest and staggered arrival times. So professional and on top of refills and making sure all were content with their orders. The food came promptly after and we were able to wrap it up within 2 hrs. They even extended store hours by 30 min so we could have time to ourselves to do some games and take photos. Beyond thankful for a perfect event which couldn't have been possible without wonderful management team at Pur and Simple Appleby.

My partner and I came here for brunch. They tend to get a bit busy so I find it’s best to go online to be waitlisted if needed. The service was relatively quick. We ordered the Simon Says with a side of Breakfast Poutine, Chicken & Waffle, Double Americano and Caramel Cappuccino. (a) Simon Says - Bacon, ham and sausage mix omelette with 3 cheese blend, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and fine herb mayonnaise. It was served on a soft brioche bun. The fine herb mayonnaise created a creamy balance with the 3 cheese blend which complemented the bacon, ham and sausage mix omelette very well. The breakfast poutine is a must try. (b) Chicken & Waffle - Crispy Chicken Breast with BBQ sauce served with waffles and pur & simple potatoes. The chicken was crispy and seasoned well. The waffles were buttery and soft. Their pur & simple potatoes had a crispy crust which was great. I was quite disappointed with the portion as there was only one piece of chicken breast in this dish. The chicken was definitely not enough as I only got to eat with barely 1/2 of the serving of the waffles. It was 80% carbohydrates and 20% protein. Overall, the dishes were delicious. I’d love to come back and try their other breakfast dishes
