Not a single part of our experience was handled correctly from the very beginning. Upon arrival, our server did not even greet us. Instead, she called across several tables to ask for my order, rather than approaching to say hello or introduce herself. While I was taken aback, I noticed the restaurant was busy and chose to overlook it at first.
Throughout the entire meal, she never once offered refills or cleared a dirty dish. Despite visibly noticing our table was cluttered with empty glasses and plates, she simply walked by. Had she asked, we absolutely would have ordered additional drinks.
When our food arrived, part of our order was missing. No quality check was done, and we were unable to get anyone’s attention for nearly ten minutes. By the time I finally stood up and crossed the restaurant to find someone, my food was cold. Later, when we were ready to leave, it was another long wait before anyone acknowledged us so we could ask for boxes and the bill.
At payment, the machine was simply dropped off at our table, leaving us to process the transaction ourselves.
The entire staff appeared disengaged and uninterested in providing even the most basic level of service. As a server myself, I left shocked and incredibly disappointed. I regret spending my money here and wish I had just stayed home. Will not be returning despite years of eating at various Sunset...
Read moreYesterday I went to pick up breakfast after placing my order online. When I walked in, I was shocked to see customers sitting at a table, no masks, drinking coffee!!!! The server explained that they were waiting for their food. I explained that regardless, having masks off indoors is strictly prohibited and I would not like my order afterall. If they are breaking these health regulations, which other regulations are they breaking?! EDIT The reply to this review is a LIE! Do you think by saying the guests were seniors, that it makes it okay? These customers were sitting at a table, drinking from coffee MUGS not to-go cups and they took multiple sips from their coffees. Regardless, it is against the law to sit indoors and drink coffee at a restaurant, senior or not and to-go coffee or not! Please don't try to make it sound like it was not a big deal. You are only making it worse! You could have exposed your staff and myself to Covid by allowing them to remove their masks and drink coffee inside your restaurant! This was not a wise choice and I wish you were acknowledging your mistake instead of...
Read moreCame on a whim for a quick breakfast, and surely felt even more rushed when I sat down to eat. $60 breakfast?!?
The service was fast pace, servers rushing us out and maybe even too fast, thank God the portions are small or else we'd have to sit down longer to eat.
Prices are toronto prices in Oakville. Sadly I can't reccomend that the food was on par to other breakfast joints, not to mention the portion size difference.
8.99 for a barely acceptable greek salad the sauce was thick like it was dehydrated for some time. The eggs were just cooked, almost had to send it back cause the egg whites looked raw.
$18 for smoked salmon Benedict, nothing really surpassing the bare minimum. Smaller than hockey pucks.
$9 for French toast, just regular French toast, 2 slices small.
$6 for orange juice, probably the only thing I liked and it really tasted like florida oranges but with more rind.
Overall if you cut the cost by %20 I could maybe see me coming back. I'm used to breakfast joints being enough to take away, we paid the bill and went across the street to Starbucks to buy a breakfast sandwich...
