Right after my first encounter, I had email exchange with the owner. Seemed polite and offered to fix this.
I was here today to get some bud lights. Had to stand in a long que. Probably 15 to 18 people in line. Thought the guys inside must be swamped and didn't mind.
Upon going inside the store (17mins later), I was shocked to find there is only 1 billing counter and 5 people waiting in-store already. They have 2 counters near the entrance door and 2 right across. Sadly, only 1 of them is handling payments. To make things worse, their terminals don't accept 'Tap' pay for some reason. Meaning every single customer needs to key in their pin adding up to the already delayed process.
It's not like these people are short staffed. There were 4 to 5 staff members at the front and only 2 were allocated (1 for purchases and 1 for empties).
This pandemic is certainly testing all of us and other stores are working extra hard to get things straight. But these people, especially the lady with tattoo's all over her hand don't seem to care enough. They take their own sweet time.
They could bloody see a really long line but simply don't care to speed things up. Pathetic people. Elders and people with accessibility problems are having to wait in line even when the store is well equipped to handle it much faster and swiftly.
Someone really needs to address...

I had unknowingly bought a case of expired beer and when I went back to let them know all 3 of the staff (3 associates, Stewart supposedly in charge along with Gary and Tom) were very condescending and laughing like it is a joke selling many months old beer! When I brought it to their attention they all told me the policy is BUYERS BEWARE!!! They said they are leaving it on the shelf to sell! when we all seen the date that is many months old past the due date... IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO STAR I WOULD!! Go ANYWHERE ELSE but this store! Someone is going to get very sick!! Disgusting and pathetic, you need better training as you are selling consumable products!! BUYERS...
Read moreKeep careful track of this place if you're returning empties. I counted my empties before coming to the store yesterday, and they shorted me when they paid my deposit. I tried challenging them and they gave me a hard time about it.
It's high time Ontario gets on board with the rest of North America and allows you to return empty alcohol containers to any retail outlet, including convenience stores.
The days of Brewer's Retail, a foreign owned entity, having a monopoly on beer sales in Ontario is OVER. Open up the doors of competition and let this...
