Disrespectful, judgmental, and downright rude — worst experience ever.
This was supposed to be a special night. I brought my cousins — visiting from the U.S. — to try sushi for the first time. They were excited, and I was happy to treat them to something new. We chose Ikki Sushi in Burlington, but sadly, it turned out to be one of the worst decisions we could’ve made.
Before we even stepped inside, staff were spraying dirty, soapy water all over the entrance — right where customers walk. It was slippery, unsafe, and disgusting. I asked politely if they were open, and instead of a simple answer, we got cold stares and nasty looks.
It felt like they were judging us from the moment they saw us — maybe because of how we looked, or how we were dressed. Either way, the disrespect was clear.
Once inside, the woman taking our order (who I later found out is the manager) kept rushing us to order, coming back every few minutes with an annoyed tone and angry expression. She acted like we were wasting her time.
Every staff member stared at us like we didn’t belong there. It was uncomfortable and humiliating. Then when they brought out the food, one server slammed a hot bowl of soup onto the table so hard it spilled — again, not one word of apology.
At that point, we had enough. I told my group we were leaving. The manager came out, saw everything, and still said nothing — not even a fake “sorry.”
I’ve traveled all over and have never, ever been treated with such coldness, disrespect, and judgment — especially when we did absolutely nothing wrong but walk in and try to enjoy a meal.
Ikki Sushi — shame on you. You ruined what was supposed to be a beautiful first experience for my family. I’ll make sure no one I know ever sets foot in this place.

Your response is not only disappointing — it’s completely false.
Let’s be honest: No one in our group, except for the kids just have one bite . The adults hadn’t even started eating yet when we made the decision to leave because of how badly we were treated. The soup had just been slammed onto the table and spilled, and the rest of the food had barely arrived. So your claim that we ate over $250 worth of food is simply untrue.
In fact, before we left, we asked the manager if we owed anything for what the kids had touched, and she clearly told us no. You even offered to let us take the food home for free — and we declined out of principle, because we don’t accept handouts from people who treat us with such disrespect. We were ready to pay for what was touched, and your team refused.
Now you're changing the story to make yourselves look better and cover up how we were treated — judged, rushed, stared at, and disrespected from the moment we walked in. That says a lot more about your business than...

Let's get it out of the way, I am a mid twenties, italian guy, far from a sushi snob, but honestly, just go to longos and buy 2 packs of the bento grocery store sushi, it'll be 20 bucks instead of 100, and it will be the same quality if not better.
We went on a busy afternoon so maybe it's a bad time but we walked in and the only way I can describe the place was it looks like a fake resturant from a Disney TV show set, one of the servers had a southern accent, she was plenty friendly so good on her but I should have listened to my fight or flight response and got outta there. We were seated and as I looked around I might've been the least white person in the room, again, italian male here, that's a statement and a half.
The first thing we ordered was sashimi, what came out was warm fish that looks like it was chopped up by Helen kellar with a shovel in the back. They might aswell of just handed me the fish whole because it was a far shot from sliced thin.
After 1 bite and a look of fear to eachother we decided only to order hot food because how can they mess that up? This was a bad assumption, deep fried octopus was like biting through chestnut, grilled octopus was the same as well, shrimp tempura tasted less like shrimp and more like old oil.
We looked around in a panic trying to salvage the cost of dinner, everyone else had rolls so we ordered a couple, and yea they were just like the regular bento ones from the grocery store but a little less filled, so when you grab em with the chopsticks they flattened out. We killed them while bargaining for who would finish what, asked for the bill Even before we were done and flew outta there, 100 bucks lighter and with absolutely 0 appetite for all the wrong reasons.
Now the meal was not good but I'm writing this review with a garbage bag (double bag I'm not an animal) in a mop bucket that I've been calling my "second bathroom" for the last 8 hours. Every burp tastes like regret and I may not eat sushi for a while. Don't get me wrong you blow up a bathroom after sushi every time, but good lord not like that, I feel like God is punishing me for cheating on my...
Read moreI had an excellent experience at this restaurant with their All You Can Eat lunch menu. To start, the green, crab, and mango salads were a delightful beginning. The mango salad, in particular, stood out with generous portions. The sweet and sour soup had a perfect balance of heat and flavor, making it a delicious choice. The appetizers were spot on; I highly recommend the deep-fried shrimps as they were my favorite. The tempora shrimps were my second favorite. The cheese wontons, while crunchy, could use a bit more cheese filling. The bacon-wrapped crab leg was very delicious too.
The edamame was perfectly steamed and seasoned, offering a delightful taste. The chicken cutlets were crispy and well-cooked but could benefit from more seasoning. Moving on to the sushi platter, the shrimp and salmon options were both very good, with just the right amount of rice to let the fish shine. The Green Dragon roll was also a delicious addition.
The highlight of the meal was the grilled steak, served sizzling in a cast iron skillet and cooked to perfection. The addition of onions complemented the dish wonderfully. The salmon teriyaki, while good, was slightly overcooked, especially considering the thin pieces.
For dessert, the mango pudding stole the show, though the portions were on the smaller side. The strawberry ice cream was the standout among the ice cream choices, and I highly recommend trying the fried banana with chocolate ice cream. The fried orios were interesting twist, give it a try.
Our hosts, Nikki and Franco, were outstanding, making the entire experience truly memorable. They were attentive, polite, and personable. It's worth noting that paying in cash grants a 10% discount, which is a nice bonus. I will definitely be returning to explore more...
