We always buy our breads from Cobs. Their high fiber white is really good, so about quarter of the time we fail to get them as they are not yet ready (in the morning) or sold out by evening. It would be great if these were available earlier. What really makes us come back to this Marine way location is the kindness of one particular worker, Flora. She always greets us with genuine smile and kindness. Hope younger employees learn that this somewhat seemingly simple kindness is what brings smile to people and make them come back.
Update: been frequenting here for a few years now and some of the new changes are not that great. I understand it's not easy to get good staff, but really courteous and professional ones seem to be gone. I have seen numerous times workers reusing the wax paper after touching various things (including touching both sides and leaving them on other places) , customer service is not as pleasant as before, and worst of all, the new reward system is such a downgrade from the old system they used to have. They way the corporate set up the reward system takes much longer to earn rewards and now sets an amount ($5) rather than an item. It's worse that the earned reward expires out of your app in 2 weeks if not used. Too bad when something companies pitch as new and great actually ends up used for...
Read moreI am a very easy-to-please customer and I always give out 5 star reviews most of the time when I am satisfied with the service. I love their bread so much but I am so DISAPPOINTED with this location! The lady in the cashier was very rude and unhelpful. I picked up the pack of Focaccia and changed my mind. I placed it back on the stand beside the door while the lady had my sunflower loaf sliced. When she entered all the bread I ordered, she gave me the total and I just tapped my card without any question. Then this lady said "You took the Focaccia right?" I told her I changed my mind and didn't even know that I was charged for it because I returned it. why would she even charge me for it?. I was shocked that she was unapologetic and told me there's no way I can get refunded for that. It sounded to me like a customer cannot change her mind. I asked her if there's anything she can do but offered no option and just stared at me. It wasn't about the money. It was about what she would offer to solve my inconvenience for being charged of something I didn't want to buy! But I am not a person who would embarrass someone in front of other customers, I decided to let it slip and took the bread I didn't want home...but never will I go back to that...
Read moreSaw an employee wearing a tiny, useless plastic face shield yesterday and came here to make a comment. While I didnt have a terrible experience with the employee, I just read a similar review and Im disgusted by the owner's response. Valid medical reasons for not wearing a mask are pretty few and far between, so I don't believe it. Also if your employee is working in food prep during a pandemic and can't wear a mask for legit reasons, then get another job not prepping food. People with nut allergies wouldnt get a job at a peanutbutter manufacturer, and nurses who wont get the vax shouldn't be working in professional healthcare. Further more, claiming you got no covid cases at your shop means nothing since it can be passed via unsymptomatic carriers. Clearly you arent testing daily, so your claim is nonsense and your backing up of your employee rather than the concerns of greater public health makes your business a detriment to our community. Poor showing in response from the owner in claiming safety by doing mandated minimums while being derisive to the public you serve gets a one star review and no...
