EStEA Cafe — Restaurant in Burnaby

I really can't bear it. It is the first time that I have encountered such a rude attitude in Canada for so many years. I want to share it with you today. If I could've given zero star, I would. At 2:34 this afternoon, my friend and I had just got out of Metrotown Station. We wanted to go to the EStEA Cafe for a cup of milk tea and by the way go to the washroom. After we went in, when I first started ordering milk tea, my friend asked, where is the washroom? The male cashier told me with a cold and rude tone that I had to place an order first. I said I can order now, meanwhile let my friend go to the washroom. Suddenly, a waitress next to him said that she is not allowed to go to the washroom until I pay the order first.Then both of us said sure, we pay right away. Then the waitress threw out the key viciously. When my friend came out of washroom and wanted to sit down and drink milk tea, I only saw the waitress rushing into the toilet. It was supposed to be hygienic, but she slammed the door out with a terrible attitude, we were so scared and didn't dare to drink there and hurried out. We have also bought drinks from this store before, and these two staff could also be the store owners. If they really are the owners of the shop, you can hardly believe that with such a service attitude, how many customers will dare to go there for the second time? ! In addition, everyone should pay attention to the food sold in this store, and check if there is any hair in the food before eating. I have eaten hair in the pudding sold in their store! Because it was the first time to buy food in this store, I think it is not easy for them to do business, so I didn't go back to discuss with them, let alone post comments on the Internet. But this time I encountered such a weird thing, I think I can no longer be silent, and let everyone know the facts. I hope everyone will pay attention, and also hope to help shop owners improve their service attitude and...

The location of this place is just right-- hidden right behind metrotown station! The staff who was serving me was also really nice to me. Probably because I smiled a lot. (Tip: smiles are contagious!)

However... sadly the drinks, like the reviewers say, are actually watered down. The slushies were basically all ice. I was chewing on ice the whole time. I dont have bubble tea a lot and even I know these drinks aren't good quality.

The prices are pretty high too despite the low quantity and quality.

What really disturbed me was the sight I saw before my drink was served. The staff was eating my leftovers-- yes she was! She was scooping the residue slush from the blender and eating out of it.

I understand why but it's not the most professional...

Sadly I won't be coming back here...

**Edit Changed to one star after I gave them another try for the rice bowl and theh only included about half of the meat and less items than the last time. I took a picture of the bowl but it's not uploading. Won't go back.

Had the braised brisket rice bowl which was pretty okay but then I guess a miscommunication about the combo (bubble tea) but it's okay, it wasn't a big deal but the mango bubble tea was a bit sour... It was so bad that I threw it away after a few sips (outside of the store to not be rude). Could also be my bad as I didn't have the heart to tell them how bad it was. I left and took it as a loss of $6, I won't get another bubble tea from there again based on that experience but might go back for...
