I am a huge fan of Korean chicken, so I decided to try one of the Korean chicken place near my house. The food was really good. I ordered Golden Fried and Secret Sauced chickens and both were super crispy. The skin and meat were flavourful by itself. We tried left over next day, it was still amazing! I really wish I could find out what their secret sauce is!haha But! Even though food was great, I do not think I would go back this place again because the service was actually disappointing. There was two girls in the front and one of them was kind, nice and little shy girl, but the other one was bit rude and had some attitudes. She was not really helpful when I tried to choose the flavour and showing annoyed face even though it did not take a long time to make decisions and there was no one waiting behind me. She told me that it will take 20 mins but I ended up waiting almost 45 mins to get my order. I saw there were several people in the kitchen and based on their laughing and yelling, they were definitely having a great time in there, but I am sure the owner would be loosing money because it took way too long time to get just two chickens . Maybe they have only one frying machine? Chicken has a nice crunch, but after a few bites the grease is all you can taste. The seasoning was clumped on one section so the flavor wasn’t spread across the piece.
Service, they charge 25cents for a paper bag - no big deal - so I paid for a paper bag to take my order to go (which is the only option.) I never had a choice as to what paper bag I would be given until my order was being handed to me. You couldn’t even close the bag without handles to keep the food warm as it was filled to the brim. So I asked if I could please have the paper bag with the handle instead of the bag without one. Service said “That will be an extra 25cents.” I said I would have taken the bag with the handle if given the option before and if they could please just give me the bag so I didn’t need to use my credit card for a 25cent charge. Service gave a blank stare and said “If you want the large bag it’s an extra 25cents.” So I said I won’t pay that, took my food which was cold by the time I walked around the block.
