I still want to give this place a chance. I work nearby and my team and I would frequent this place once a month. During warmer months, we tend to come even more often. When I lived in New West, I would come here so much more often with my husband and used to really love it. It used to be my favorite restaurant for Beef Stew, Pho and lemon grass chicken dishes. I used to really crave their food. The very last time I did takeout (beef stew) I was surprisingly disappointed. There was very little noodle and possibly only 3 beef chunks in my stew. That was supposed to be a large and they charged me for a large but I am quite certain that it was a small. I dismissed this incident thinking that sometimes mistakes happen. The second time I had come for lunch with my team, our soups were pretty basic. We asked for lime, but never ended up getting it and gave up trying. I really worry that my favorite place will start becoming careless towards their portions, quality or customer service. Please fix it....

Considering there are 2 Vietnamese restaurants out here in Market Crossing and I consider this one more enjoyable to go to says alot.

The price is more affordable and the portions are bigger here compared to the other place.

For me, I either order a large #14 (I consider this their "special pho" with everything) or I order #60 their rice plate with everything (pork, chicken, fried egg, shredded pork). I've also ordered the spring rolls and salad rolls, both come with 3 rolls. Taste is standard, but the price is hard to find nowadays.

The seem to be quite busy near lunch time. The tables turnover so quickly that the workers barely have a chance to clear the table and sit you down before another set of people come in.

Overall, I would recommend this place over the other nearby. This is the typical Vietnamese place with the classics. Also more bang for your buck.

Parking is abundant here and they also accept...

We usually come because there's an XL option for the pho bowls for a good deal ($10.50+).

We ordered the rare beef and beef ball pho to share with our toddler. There was plenty of beef slices and a few pieces of beef balls. The beef balls taste great and have a good texture...the rare beef slices are a little chewy but still yummy. The only issue with the pho is that I'm super thirsty afterwards because of the MSG in the broth.

Service is minimal. They come and take your order and bring you the food and they basically won't bother you again till you pay or ask for something, but they are nice and friendly.

At the end of the meal, when you walk up to pay, there is a box filled with fortune cookies. We usually grab a couple...my toddler's favourite part of the meal :)

We will be back...usually on the nights I've ditched my...

I ordered a lemon grass porkchop. It was on the sweeter side than what I had in other Vietnamese restos. It was fine. Service was alright. Not great. I asked for tea a couple times before they finally brought it. First cup was not refilled. What I am most disappointed about is the transparency and false pricing. The meal was supposed to be $17.50. They rung me in at $18.90. I noticed the scribble on the paper so I asked how much was it, and they said $18.90, but the menu says $17.50 and they said yes that’s wrong. I didn’t push it and paid anyway. They do not see anything wrong with that. It’s not the cost that annoys me, it’s the sneaky behavior, intended or not, that was disturbing. Dishonest business operator. Unless they change their practice, I would not recommend this place.

Nestled in obscured place in Marine way and Market Crossing are several newer establishments catering to various ethnic groups. Cobs bakery, Greek fast foods, rotisserie chicken, White Spot, etc. Looking for a quick bite I chose Vietnamese/Cambodian Express noodle called GT II Express. Immediately impressed by the wide smile reception and very cherry Brandon. Quick service, I asked for clear soup, served at temperature that's perfect to my palate. I ordered No. 64 Bun (vermicelli) Ga Nuong Cha Gio. Grilled chicken and spring roll with vermicelli julienned carrots, cucumber, etc. Very simple and very satisfying. What a difftence service could in an establishment. Thanks so very Brandon and keep on smiling.
