We had the pleasure of dining at Pur and Simple, a recently opened restaurant in the heart of the city. Our experience was truly exceptional, and we are delighted to share our review with other food enthusiasts.
First and foremost, the ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with a modern and minimalistic décor that exuded a sense of calm and relaxation. The lighting was perfect, and the seating arrangement was comfortable, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal with friends and family.
The menu was filled with delicious breakfast and brunch options, and I opted for the omelet and French vanilla latte. The omelet was cooked to perfection, with a fluffy and light texture that melted in my mouth with every bite. The filling was generously portioned and consisted of fresh ingredients, which added a depth of flavour and texture to the dish.
The French vanilla latte was an absolute delight, with the perfect balance of sweet and creamy flavors. The aroma of the coffee was enticing and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.
Pompi, our server, was an absolute delight. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, Pompi greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. She was sweet, friendly, and attentive to our needs, adding an extra touch of hospitality to our dining experience.
She took the time to explain the menu options and made helpful recommendations based on our preferences. She patiently answered our questions and ensured that our dietary restrictions were taken into consideration. Her knowledge of the menu and attention to detail were impressive.
Throughout our meal, Pompi checked in on us regularly, making sure that we had everything we needed and that our food was prepared to our liking. Her genuine and caring approach made us feel well taken care of, and we appreciated her impeccable service.
Pompi's friendly demeanor and genuine interest in ensuring our satisfaction added a personal touch to our dining experience. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable meal at Pur and Simple.

Read moreDid not enjoy my recent experience here. My friend and I came here for brunch to celebrate my birthday. Upon arriving the hostess told us it would be around a 30-45 minute wait, which is understandable because it was Saturday brunch (they do not take reservations). However, when we got called over for our table, we quickly realized why we had to wait so long!
There were several empty tables around us filled with old food from previous customers. It was absolutely disgusting and uncomfortable. There were about 5-6 tables around us that were un occupied and dirty, littered with old food. There were even flies flying around all the old food. We timed to see how long it would take for one of the tables to be cleaned, and it took them about 30 minutes to cleaned. I wish the picture I took showed the flies, and I wish I took more photos to show how disgusting the atmosphere is.
Not to mention, when we initially got sat, there was dirty cutlery and a used mug on our table. Our server also took about 15 minutes to greet us with water, and another 30 to get our drink and food orders, and the bill. We had to ask another server about the bill because it seemed like he forgot about us. I get it if he was busy, but it looked like there was only 3 other tables in his section plus the 5-6 other tables that were dirty and that he wasn’t cleaning, so I don’t understand why the service was as slow as it was.
The food was dry and cold, nothing really special about it even if it were to be cooked properly. I’ve had better brunch food elsewhere where there isn’t a 45 minute wait and dirty tables around me.
You could have a more influx of customers come in and have a better dining experience if you gave your servers smaller sections. Because clearly they are not capable of having such a large section if they are not able to reset their tables and greet their guests.
This is a newer restaurant at station square I believe so maybe I will give this another try in a few years when the...
Read moreThis is perfect example of how expectation is the root cause of all problems. We visited this place for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. No doubt the place was full and there was waiting too so I naturally assumed that it is good. I was wrong.
Firstly, we were seated next to the kitchen and my partners chair was right next to the bin. Secondly, I could hear all the chatter in the kitchen which included all sorts of banter about clients and disagreements amongst the service staff.
We were greeted nicely and ordered our drinks and food. We were served coffee without a stirring spoon. So we asked and got - no problem.
While I looked around for good 25 mins waiting for my food, I saw that other tables were served. So I chose to ask how long our food was going to take. I was told ‘one minute’. I realised we neither had cutlery nor ketchup or other sauces that everyone was served usually.
Finally the food came after another 5 mins and we still did not have cutlery to eat food with. I asked again. Got cutlery but no sauces. I asked again and waited till I have everything on the table to start my food - which to my surprise- was COLD!
I ordered the Chicago eggs Benedict no spice. My eggs had red chilli sprinkled on top of the hollandaise sauce which was already cold and curdling. My partner ordered waffles which I admit, were better than my bennys.
No one came to check how the food was. We finished and closed our plates, waited for someone to pick them and get the check. Nope, nothing, nada. Eventually we asked for the check.
Obviously I paid no tip but made sure to tell them that why I paid nothing. To my surprise, i was part of the kitchen ‘blame game’ - I told the staff person that my food was cold and the response was well that is the kitchen’s fault. I was more shocked with the response than anything else.
Sure as hell I am not...
