second floor. hidden gem for sure. all of the pho places are really getting expensive now and as a vegetarian and pregnant person me and my husband just took a chance on this place after going to cup n bun for treats for dinner. we weren't disappointed. there was no foul smell that i could smell. the tables were fairly clean and so far there were no dust i could see. however the utensils are sitting out in the open so do take your time to just choose. staff was not too good in English but good enough to communicate what food you wanted. i would suggest not to over complicate your order and be straight to the point bec of the language barrier. the old guy does seem to not hear or understood that i wanted hot water..he kept saying cold water. so we just let him be since we kind of knew he was just being helpful. if you want a special order do talk to the lady to make sure you get what you want. i also saw they had a young girl in the back so i assumed it's family oriented. they have lots of regular customers here. some know the old man pretty well. some clients are of different backgrounds as well and diverse in age. this just shows me that the place is really good with customer service. we ordered #17 beef+broccoli rice and ,V4 tofu+veggie soup. -v4 has a good bowl portion. my husband could not finish it. lots of veggies and their broccoli was HUGE! no special veggies added, just the usual carrots, cabbage, garnish, tofu (simple), and etc. i loved that it had more veggies cz that's what cuts the rest above the best for us. the soup was not fully enriched with flavours as we had hoped BUT for us this is a bit of good news bec we dont choose to eat much salty food. and im sure there's no MSG in the soup. also their soup does not taste like stock soup from a can or box. we can actually just taste veggie broth from just the basic veggies they were using. ALSO you have literally the sauces on the side to make it how you like it. IT IS A SMART MOVE, don't make it salty so it's the base taste for people like me who don't like much salt and just put the saltiness after if you love your msg, siracha, spice, soy, etc. although they do add lots of pepper on top :) -#17 my food was the best! HUGE PORTION!!! served to me in a serving plate!!!!!!!!! see pic. beed strips were not rubbery at all. it had that good burn on the edges that makes them have extra sauce. the broccoli was again HUGE!!!!!!! i can't put 1 in my mouth, that huge. i couldn't even finish the whole dish! it looked like i didn't even dent the size. also taste was GOOOOOOD! still couldn't finish it lol! I really hope this place stays exactly the same. except for the cleanliness of the utensils. that one can be improved. prices are low portions are gigantic!!! and tastes good like basic SMART pho that caters to the less salty people lol! this will now be our go to place aside from Broken Rice and Chad Thai. will update if more changes.

Very affordable Had a late lunch with the family. Ordered pho and a bun dish. Pho runs $12 or $13 depending if you order small or large. The bun dishes or vermicelli (no soup) bowls are $13. Got a spring roll appetizer for $8 and two Vietnamese coffees. Coffees were good and spring roll was tasty but looked over fried and was very small. I wouldn’t order them again for $8. Ironically the spring roll that came with my bun bowl looked better. This is probably one of the cheaper if not cheapest I’ve seen for pho. Other places are $15 and up. The bowl sizes are a tad smaller than other places but we were full. I was impressed with the low cost of my bun bowl and I had leftovers to take home. One comes here for the food value and not the ambience. If you enter through the front, it’s a flight of stairs. Otherwise park in the back and walk in already on the upper level. There’s also a free public parking lot across on Ingleton so easy parking. Service was good in taking our order and food delivery but don’t expect tea refills.

What a gem of a pho place. This place is just a 4-5 min walk from boundary and Hastings. They are located at the upper floor of the building. You can either walk up the flight of stairs on the ground floor at the front. Or you can park in the back lot and walk right in. The restaurant itself is dated so the ambiance for some may not find it great to eat in. However I think that’s truly the only constructive feedback I have. The food portion was amazing for the price I paid. And the broth of the bun no hue was delicious. The service was super friendly and accommodating. The person who served me was an older gentlemen who I would imagine is the owner and probably is doing this business out of love. I say this because he is super nice but age wise is probably well into his retirement age (reminds me of my grandma) sweet and kind. Overall it’s a place that is worth trying for anyone who loves pho and is looking for a bargain

Have been to a lot of Pho restaurants including this one. Today was the last day of ever coming back to this place. In a situation like this, I would give the opportunity for the restaurant to make right the situation. This one sadly did not even come close and ended up being a very bad experience. I ordered the special Pho and spring roll. Upon digging into my dish and taking a few bites, I found a long black hair. Lost my appetite and upon sending the soup back the server asked if I wanted another one in which I said “no thank you”. No apologies or any acknowledgment of this issue. The server boy just grabbed and left without any response other than indicating another bowl is coming, in which I immediately said no with both my hands and head. About a few minutes later, I was deciding to either stay or leave altogether. The owner lady came out and aggressively demanded that I take the soup and pay for it. After insistingly telling her I didn’t order another one, she tried to publicly humiliate me telling the entire restaurant that I ordered and didn’t pay. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. I left this place in disgust and will never be returning. Blaming customers for your mistakes and trying to make them pay for something that they didn’t order is just wrong. Do not go here if you want good service as the lady seems to be angry all the time and will demand you to pay for your meal even if it has hairs or debris in it from their unsanitary practices.

edit Now the owner lady is accusing me of not telling the truth? What do I have to gain by supposedly not telling the truth here? Absolutely nothing. It’s an attempt by the owner to cover up their mistakes. It is clear that the owner lady is delusional and is not owning up to the facts and trying to say that I ate and didn’t pay. Lady, I only took two bites of noodles when I found the long hair infused to the noodles. I stopped immediately after discovering this as I lost my appetite. I was not “full” as you falsely claim as the soup and spring rolls had barely been eaten when I stopped altogether. How can your absurd statement be even remotely true? Complete and utter nonsense from the owners response and attitude. Also, I only took one bite of the spring rolls and also lost my appetite as the rolls were way over cooked. Accusing your customers of not paying and completely lying about the situation is wrong. Your business will not last with this kind of behaviour. I often go out to eat with a busy work schedule and gladly pay for my food and have never walked out after eating without paying. I have also never encountered such a business as this unapologetically and maliciously shaming their customers and lying about them. When there is hair in the food and when the items are over cooked and unsanitary anyone will lose their appetite. This does not mean they are “full” as I never even said that at all. The customers I sat beside witnessed the entire situation and said it was unusual for a place like this. A $20 lunch meal during my work break and the owner thinks I can’t pay for that? Are you kidding me? Stay away from this place if you want to avoid this kind of situation. They are obviously struggling and putting their blame on their clients over a bowl of soup. What a complete waste of time and completely unsanitary food environment. Shame on this restaurant for treating their customers...

This is bad start to the new years. I don’t know where to begin. The lady/owner has been yelling and screaming from the kitchen from the moment we stepped in. Some of the guests didn’t seem to mind it? Perhaps they're used to it or they do not speak the language and don’t realize that she is actually lecturing and verbally harassing her employees/family. As someone who is fluent in Vietnamese, I can tell you she doesn’t just happen to talk loudly, she really is yelling. I could hear her threatening to dock his hours, make him stay overtime for free because he messed up. If I didn’t already have an hangover from the night before, this lady would be the reason I got one. Anyway, we ordered 2 phos, a banh mi, ice coffee and a lemonade soda. The server repeated it and confirmed our order. Brought out the wrong pho 10 minutes later. We watched 3 other tables sat down and order after us and their food all arrived before ours. They all seemed to order similar things to us nothing we ordered that would take additional time. One person even finished eating and got up to pay and our food was still not here. After nearly 30 minutes our food came. The ice coffee was watered down, the lemonade had bits of cilantro and green onions in it (they probably use the same knife to chop the lemons and other veggies and didn’t bother to rinse it). By the time our “rare beef pho” came out, the beef was well-done and grey. The noodles had a sour taste and was really starchy and overcooked. They were pretty generous with the tendons, I’l give them that. Overall, would not recommend. We were hoping for a hole in the wall type of place with amazing pho. This headache throbbing place is not it. I felt like I was eating at a public fish market in Vietnam. I left the restaurant and I can still hear her yelling in my head. I recommend wearing earplugs or headphones if you want to...
