I have been here once when they were called Teapressu, recommended by someone who grew up in the area. I have fond memories of their Teapressu, so I wanted to visit again while in the area.
I did not know they were rebranded, so I almost thought they must have been closed. I was glad that I decided to go and check it out anyway.
I could not figure out what drinks were made by the teapressu machine, so I had to ask. Coming from Hong Kong, I suddenly had the urge to try their lemon 🍋 black tea. I wanted to try 30% sugar, 75% ice, but the staff insisted I should had 75% sugar instead, as she thought that would be too sour otherwise. I admired her persistence, I listened to her.
It turned out to be quite pleasant, although I thought I could take less sugar/ more sour.
The place was pretty big inside surprisingly. It was about 2:30 🕝 to 3:00 🕒 on a Friday afternoon, the place was empty.
Apparently, you can have a small amount of discount if you pay by cash. I did not notice, I would if I knew.
I was interested to try their ice cream next time. So, I came back on a Sunday afternoon 2 days later.
It was quite relaxing and satisfying to look at the ice cream being stirred continuously. We tried Uji Matcha and Hojicha - they were both great.
This time, I wanted to try again their teapressu tea drinks and I forgot which ones, so I had to ask. However, the staff could not understand me. She said all milk teas were made by Teapressu machine, so I picked one, but obviously, it was not the case 🥲.
We were also interested in the VIP program, but she said there was no more VIP program, it was normally available in the winter only. Then, they could wait until winter to display...

From its humble beginnings as a bubble tea food truck, Teapressu went on to open a store where they sell their refreshing bubble tea drinks, and now ice cream as well. The interior of their store is quite whimsical, with all the sloth themed decor. Plus, they even have a claw machine that you can play. It's such a fun place!
Their ice cream is freshly churned and you can see it churning continuously throughout the day. It's mesmerizing and I could stand at the counter for quite some time, watching the ice cream churn if it weren't for other people coming into the store, wanting to place their orders!
The ice cream flavors they have number less than 10, but they are all wonderful flavors and we were impressed with the quality of the flavors that we tried. The flavors they had when we went were as follows: Rich Black Sesame, 2 Shots Espresso, Premium Earl Grey, Supreme Oolong, Uji Matcha, Creamy Mango with bits, Hokkaido "Milk", abd Very Strawberry. We ordered Premium Earl Grey and Uji Matcha ice cream, along with their Golden Peach drink. Yum, yum, and yum! While I love a tasty drink I think my love for ice cream is greater, and the ice cream we had at Teapressu was exquisite. The Uji Matcha flavor was very pronounced and while Earl Grey is a flavor that tends to be very much absent in a lot of desserts I've tried, I could actually taste the Earl Grey flavor this time in their Premium Earl Grey ice cream.

Read moreI recently had the opportunity to try out several drinks at Teapressu, including the strawberry, peach, taro, and mixed berry flavors. Out of all of them, my favorite was definitely the taro. The rich, earthy flavor of the taro blended perfectly with the other ingredients and created a delightful taste experience.
I like pearls, so I highly recommend getting them as an additional topping. They added a nice texture and enhanced the overall enjoyment of the beverages.
However, one aspect that fell a bit short for me was the sweetness level of the drinks. Personally, I prefer my beverages to be on the sweeter side, and I found that Teapressu's drinks were not quite sweet enough to satisfy my taste buds. If you have a preference for sweeter drinks, you may want to consider asking for extra sweetener when ordering.
Another observation I made was that the snow topping on the drinks tended to melt quickly. Within a minute or so, it would shrink and lose its fluffy texture. While this didn't necessarily impact the taste, it's worth noting that you may want to enjoy your drink at a leisurely pace to avoid the dreaded brain freeze that can come from rushing through the icy treat.
Overall, Teapressu offers a decent selection of flavors, with the taro being a standout choice. The addition of pearls is a definite recommendation for those who enjoy them. While the drinks may not be as sweet as some might prefer, they still offer a refreshing and enjoyable beverage option. Just remember to take your time and savor the drink to avoid any unpleasant brain freeze...
