OMG!!! Repugnant! How can a place like this stay in business. I've had Vietnamese food in Houston,Tx, Shanghai, China, Miami, FL, even a little place like Arcadia, Ca. and many other places and I've never had such terrible food! I had the beef short ribs with an egg. I couldn't believe what they passed off as "Great Vietnamese food". I knew there was something wrong when they put the food in front of me. The short ribs were fried and greasy, not grilled. All the other places I've been to, grilled the ribs. I ate the egg and got the waitress to throw the rest away. It's not fit for human consumption. Maybe for dogs it's ok but not for me. Either the great google reviews was done by the owners kids or wife but it couldn't have been real customers. You can't even leave a review on Google Reviews and I know why now. With all the Asians living in Burnaby, I thought most Asian restaurants will be pretty good here. Man, was I mistaken. My shadow will never darken their entrance ever again. I paid for the meal and and told the waitress what I think. SIGH! I can't believe that the Asian Restaurants in Texas are better than in the Lower Mainland. It's unbelievable that those cowboys in Tx. has better Asian...

I’ve tried all pho place around Hastings, and this one is a NO GO. Big portion but doesn’t taste authentic, rice pork tastes more like Japanese teriyaki and the soup was too sweet. I appreciate how fast the food was prepared but it doesn’t tastes like its freshly cook. I recommend going to Pho Pasteur for a cheaper and more authentic Vietnamese food (but slightly smaller portion) or H&P noodle house for a better quality within the same price range (same big portion). We came after dinner time on a weekday, place was empty, only us and another table. Service was bad, didn’t refill the water and the lady rush us to pay right after we done eating. I ordered the combo menu and can’t finish it, so I asked if I can take the spring roll to go and she was giving me attitude like it’s a lot to ask. Even tho the place was kinda messy, I still gave them tips as it’s a small business but would never come back and won’t recommend! Ps. I read reviews before coming here, and I don’t understand where this “authentic pho place”...

We finally went ahead to give this place a try today. Especially because of their Sunday special menu, Kaho Piek Sien. It's rare to see a Laos special food, so we were excited to try. And the flavour of KPS was amazing. It's a subtle, savory yet rich flavour. Nothing like loaded with spice, but it's rich and established taste in broth. And the texture of the noodle is springy without being over chewy. Add almost crunchy Chinese donut to the soup to let it become ever so slightly soft to soak up this broth.

Value is amazing. Need to mention is also bahnmi order with 4 spring rolls AND a can of a drink.

Service is sweet. You can feel the family history and the love.

A new gem in the neighborhood. A nice addition to the community. Not to mention the family owners are so sweet. I wish for their success and long stay.

Needless to say we'll br making more return trips to here. We want to experience more...

Been here twice this week. The food is cooked by a woman from Laos and has some Cambodian influence from the husband. It’s comparable to Vietnames food but much less fishy. The daily special and their happy hour menu is such a good value. The new owners have worked on the menu so it’s much different than the restaurant that was here previously. Food is on the sweeter side but it was all so flavorful. I had the pork, chicken and beef. The lamb sausage was delicious! Khao Poon noodles is like a Thai coconut noodle and so good. The spring roll has a very unique crunchy soft texture and the filling is delicious. If you’re not sure what to try get their Taste of Laos plate to share all the variety of meat. If you order their ice/hot coffee and prefer it stronger and sweeter let them know. I will definitely be back to try their other noodles and banh mi.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Try the Lao food here. I would definitely say this is authentic Lao food, and you don't find this cuisine ANYWHERE. Walked in 30 minutes before closing and was met by two young kids! Family run restaurant with children that have been well taught their jobs. Despite the time we walked in, we were served with quality, speed, and without spite. We ordered the Khao Poon and Khao Piak Sen. felt like I was eating at home. Broths of the soups we ordered were lighter than my family makes it, but in a way, it is better for Western culture and tasted absolutely spectacular. If you are looking for something new to try, please try the Lao food at Triple Coconut Tree Restaurant. I promise you will not be dissappinted. I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of your Lao dishes.
