We ordered by phone and picked up two pizzas from the new Langley location of The Wild Flour Pizza Co. We should have known that we were going to be very disappointed in the pizzas when we called and the person who answered the phone had to put us on hold while she checked to make sure it was ok for us to order more that 3 toppings on the ‘Build Your Own’ pizza. She said they would allow us to order and pay full price for each of the toppings but the cook would be putting on less of each ingredient. We said that we were paying for the ingredients so we wanted the cook to put them in our pizzas. When I went to pick up the pizzas i thought I could smell a burnt odour but figured it must have just been the smell coming from the pizza oven. So I left a decent tip and paid for the pizzas. I brought them the short distance home and when we opened up the boxes we were shocked to see what they looked like. My husband ordered 4 types of meat with mushrooms and pineapple. I had the gluten friendly crust with prosciutto, chorizo, mushrooms, pear and pineapple. Well my husband’s pizza looked burnt around the edges of the crust and the meats were shrivelled and dry. It was hard to find any mushrooms and there were only a few pieces of pineapple. He said it was the worst pizza he has ever tasted. My gluten friendly crust was not made in the restaurant (unlike another pizza restaurant that is nearby and is rather delicious). This crust looked and tasted like cardboard. There is no reason anymore to have bad gluten free products. I’m not completely sure how they managed it but they burnt the crust and all the topping seemed to be barely heated. I can only guess that they cooked the crust (burnt it) and then put on the precooked toppings. Also, if you like lots of pizza sauce on your pizza then don’t order from this restaurant. You could barely see any sauce on either of the pizzas. They call ‘red sauce’. I cannot recommend this restaurant. Check out my other restaurant reviews to see which pizza restaurant I do recommend in the Willoughby, Langley area. There are some great restaurants in Langley. This is not one of them. We will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Their location in Burnaby looks like it had great reviews. Perhaps this new location is going through growing pains. We thought we would try this pizza place rather than our favourite because it’s new. We think it was a...
Read moreAn innovative pizza joint with special cultural toppings and their delicious sourdough bread made by a young and talented chef, Steven Che.
I have heard so much about this place through the grapevines of my foodie friends and they told me to come drop by for a visit and try their pizzas. I love a good sourdough, especially after having tons of loafs of bread at Fife. Funnily enough, the Chef used to work at Fife. He was trained at Maaemo, a 3 Michelin Star restaurant in Oslo, and coming back to Vancouver to share his knowledge of his culinary talents, is just a treat!!
I ordered 2 pizzas to bring to a small party with my friends and I was sad I couldn't order the Bahn Mizza, which is their exclusive Bahn Mi on a pizza. But that was okay for me, I can always get it next time, but I still missed it after a couple weeks. That is okay with me. I ordered the Margherita and Blue Pear for the night and omg, the flavours of the pizza was just amazing. On top of that, I ordered a couple dips, and their Hot Honey is a WIN in my books. The Hot Honey Dip is just one of my favourites for a sauce. I want that on ALL of my other foods in the future. I need to get that recipe for myself.
I really was not expecting the sourdough to be that prevelant in flavour as it hits my palettes in every way. A perfect tang as it mixes with the flavour of the basic Marghetrita of the tomatoes. The ratio of the tomato sauce with the cheese was spectacular. The coolest thing is that it is located in Burnaby, and it quite close to where I live. I think I know what to order next time if I want more of a delicious pizza. On top of that, you gotta support local restaurants and this is for sure on...
Read moreWhat an beautiful, delicious, surprise this treat was , omg, yummm 😋. We planned on sushi, yet my legs and frequency had a better idea, I just didn't know it until I found myself standing inside of this beautiful space, my eyes fixated on the logo and its name: Wildflour, my mind saw Wildflower 😅.
I looked around, the energy of the space was clean, and the funny thing is: I DON'T EVEN EAT PIZZA 🤣 due to Medical reasons.
Nevertheless less, both my sister and daughter walked in behind me, asking if I wanted pizza, and yes popped out my mouth 🤣
We ordered the BBQ Chicken eventhough I wanted 3 different pizzas 🤣 because they ALL felt right. Allowed my daughter's choice to win.
And omg, I've NEVER HAD a BBQ Chicken pizza like this my entire life 😱😋 it was sooo delicious, I wasn't mindfully eating i was literally stuffing as much as I can get into my mouth with every drooling bite😂😂😂
And omg, their selection of home made sauces, yummm, we had Hot Honey 🍯 and Truffle Mushroom 🍄 😋
The owner was GENEROUS TOO because they also gifted us a FREE dip 🙏
You guys know by now, I rate based on Service, Quality, Quantity, and most importantly Acts of Kindness, generosity, compassion ❤️ 😇✨️🙏
