After a hot day of hiking and roaming the countryside, the Black Bull was a haven of comfortable booths, shelter from the summer sun, and a place of honest food and cold beer. For ten years, we’d been coming there, and relaxing until the traffic faded and we could return home in Toronto. Then covid happened and everything shut down. For months. We were going through Bolton and stopped at the Black Bull. It has all the feel of an old English pub and the food was FANTASTIC!! The curry chicken soup could have sufficed as a meal, very spicy and very delicious. We also ordered chicken wings and a Caesar salad.
