Placed a mobile app order this morning (Saturday March 29, 2025), went through the drive through to grab my order and was asked to wait in the parking lot. After 20 minutes of sitting in my vehicle, the food still hadn’t been dropped off by staff. Went inside to inquire, and was told by the Manager that their grill was broken but the food was being prepared, and will be out in less than one minute. Despite there being an abundance of staff … practically shoulder to shoulder behind the till and kitchen area … not one staff member thought to to come out to the customers waiting outside in their cars to explain the challenges/delays they were experiencing. Totally inconsiderate. Management failed to do the obvious and get ahead of the problem. I waited another 10 minutes in my car for my food order to arrive … having spent 30 minutes now in total … before the Manager came outside … but no food still. After calling the Manager over to inquire further, the situation just got worse. The Manager showed zero understanding or empathy that after 30 minutes of waiting outside that we still hadn’t received our order. We were told by the Manager that another customer “claimed” our order. Another failure of staff/Management not doing any checks or balances to ensure customers get their right order. We were told by the Manager they did not have our order … essentially questioning the legitimacy of our order. We showed our mobile app with our order number and details. The Manager looked at us sideways after we asked to have our order made asap, and to compensate us by throwing in an extra food item. Again, 30 minutes of our time spent waiting for an order that never came. There was no urgency by the Manager to make things right or even empathize that our order was given to another customer. The Manager failed to try to diffuse the situation in any manner. We were made to feel guilty and we had to ask to have the order we paid for to be made for us. Needless to say, tensions flared and the best thing we could do was just leave with no food … despite having paid for our order. One of the most incompetent Managers I have met. Very little effort could have been provided by the Manager to totally diffuse the situation. When I went back into the restaurant and asked a staff member for the Managers name, the staff member mumbled a name and refused to repeat the Managers name to me. The staff member then questioned why I wanted the Managers name. Common sense would lead one to reasonably think that if someone’s wants the Manager’s name it is because there was an issue of some sort that a customer would want to report to the Manager’s bosses. I just shake my head. McDonalds … you win. You got my money and I didn’t get my food order. Glad I don’t have to deal with your incompetent Manager or staff member again. On the upside, I went home and made myself one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever. Guess it was a win for me after all. I certainly won’t be showing my face at...
Read moreBoyfriend and I took a 3 hour hike at Forks of Credit Provincial Park and we were starving, so decided to stop at the nearest McDonald’s to treat ourselves afterwards. It was late afternoon and probably just getting ready for the dinner rush, so the drive thru was pretty busy. We ordered in the drive thru. We got my boyfriend’s meal fine but when we tried to order my double cheeseburger meal, the person taking our order said that there was no such thing as a double cheeseburger meal. We then said okay, just give us the burger, fries and drink separately. He was a bit confused but eventually he understood. As he was reading back our order, it sounded correct, but when he was saying one of our orders back, it sounded like a threw in a racist slur, but then back tracked and corrected himself. Anyways, we wait quite awhile for our food in the drive thru, but when we get it we check the bags and receipt and see that he missed the individual fries I had ordered for my “non-existent” meal. We park the car and go back inside, only to be met with chaos. Workers and patrons everywhere in the tiny store. We go up to the counter and had to wait a few minutes to be acknowledged. Finally someone notices us and we tell them we ordered the fries but they weren’t on the receipt or in the bag. They say okay it’ll only be a few minutes as it’s just a small fry. We waited no joke, 15 minutes for one small fry. Both of us took leisurely breaks to the bathroom and did a few laps around the store before our fries were ready. Eventually we got them, and thankfully they were very fresh and tasty, but not worth the wait, and our other food we got first was cold. All in all, not a good experience and possibly the worst McDonald’s in all of Ontario. No employee there seems like they have many brain cells. I don’t enjoy racist slurs or waiting so long for a...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. We were travelling from out of town and had our 5month old baby with us so we needed to go through drive thru. I ordered a breakfast egg belt with no bacon and a tea and hubby ordered a chicken nugget combo with Buffalo sauce and coke to drink. Multiple errors were made: Bacon on on egg belt (I have a sensitivity to pork and could not eat the sandwich because I would be violently ill) They gave me coffee instead of tea (again coffee doesn’t agree with my stomach couldn’t drink it. No sauce came with the nuggets No straw for the coke I called the store and spoke to “Manager” Brie who had zero sympathy for our situation at all and told us that they were understaffed and only had new untrained employees working. Definitely not my problem and she offered a free meal and only if we go back the that location. First of all we had ordered two orders and should get two meals replaced and secondly we are from out of town and that doesn’t work for us. I was looking for a solution and asked if there was anyone else I could talk to but Brie seem to not not care about finding a solution for me and said corporate was closed for the long weekend and she didn’t have to stay on the phone with me because there so busy said happy labour day and hung up on me. No concrete solution found and no sympathy at all. I think someone should learn what a manager means....
