I swear there is no reasonable selection for a morning commute stop, anywhere between Stony and Deerfoot along Country Hills Blvd NE. I’ve been wildly disappointed with their main competitor, so I decided to go to A&W. The whole experience was just sad. I decided to give it a chance, but the empty drive thru at 730 am should have been a hint. I pulled up to the speaker, waited a good 10-12 seconds before being acknowledged, fine they could be busy inside, no biggie. The employee finally asked to take my order, I asked for the Classic breakfast with eggs medium. She replied ‘Gimme a sec’. About 45 seconds goes by, then another employee asks to take my order. I repeat it, and mention I would like brown toast, please. She tells me it will be 5-10 minutes before my order is ready. I was a little surprised, toast and eggs doesn’t take that long at any other location. I decide to be patient and agree to wait. I advance to the payment window, pay and then I’m told they only have white toast. Now I’m annoyed, this transaction has taken well over double what I would expect, especially considering there was no one else in the drive thru line and, at the payment window, I could see there were no cars parked out front. Being that they couldn’t fulfill my order, I told the cashier to please refund my card. She obliged the refund but said she couldn’t put it back on my card, which I found very strange. I took the cash, obviously, but I’ve never heard of a refund being done that way, it usually goes back the way it came. Read moreWhere do I even begin, I am absolute fuming right now. To start, the customer service at this establishment was atrocious and laughable because of how incompetent the staff members were. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with how Harman treated me and my family when we came in hungry and looking to replenish our stamina after a hectic night. We began our A&W experience by entering the drive through, only to find to no response as we waited desperately for 10 minutes. After ditching that hopeless wait, we decided to walk in hoping to get some service, only to find 3 employees idling and not caring about their jobs or the customers (us) who just wanted to get something to eat. Harman was very rude when taking our orders and did not get a single order correct. She was not only rude but showed no ounce of respect to my family and I. My cousin ordered a mozza burger and was very clear that he didn’t want bacon as he is a Muslim and cannot consume pork. Harman clearly did not listen to this important instruction and take it serious as we came home to find BACON IN HIS BURGER!!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!
My other cousin ordered a a double buddy burger, paid for the same, only to come home and find it was a SINGLE BUDDY!!!! ARE YOU JOKING ME!?!?
I am praying that we don’t end up with food poisoning tomorrow because of how unpleasant the food looked and tasted! Pray for us!
Overall, I am so so dissatisfied and irritated by my experience at this establishment and how rude Harman was! NEVER EVER VISITING THIS A&W AGAIN AND WOULD RECOMMEND THAT EVERYONE ONE ELSE...
Read moreJanuary 20 2024, I have some minor issue at that A&W particular location BUT today! wow I order a side of French fries and she ask me if it was to stay or to go ! at first I said to stay BUT when she gave me the French fries I got called to work asap So I ask her for a bag TO ONLY BE TOLD ) 0.15 cents please! Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont care about the 0.15 cents Thats NOT the POINT! but to be ask for that ! if thats a new fee or whatever ADVERTISE it ON YOUR COUNTER prior for Clients to place an order OR ask the customer is it to stay or to go and INFORM right away the client there is an additional charge for a bag ALONE if its to go
I left the French fries on the counter and walked out It is very unlikely that I will EVER go back to that location for that and many other reasons WHICH is ashamed as I also gas up at that Location (as I drive for a living and I spend ruffly $15000 on a yearly basis ! at that particular location ! so good luck on repeat customers! as I am not gonna be one of them very soon . As far as A&W I will call head office first thing monday morning To discuss that particulary!
