It's ok. Wasn't happy that when I opened the fries/onion ring bag all I could smell was fish. For those with allergies to fish, beware that it appears they are using the same oil to cook their cod as they do the other deep fried items. I like fish but not in my fries/onion rings so most likely will either not return or avoid those items completely.
UPDATE: food has improved. We often go for breakfast. Just tried the Whistle dog. Can't give an honest review of it as I was starving and really just woofed it down. Onion rings were good. Staff is friendly.
What I didn't appreciate last time we were there was the manager (??) interviewing a young kid and asking inappropriate questions. Asked how old he was and how he was going to get to work.
Actually seemed more like grilling him on the getting to work on time aspect. There are other ways to figure out age. Far as I know you can't outright ask age. But, what young person seeking work is going to question this.
As for getting to work on time, hire them and if they are late fire them. It's a part of hiring people. I could understand if they were located in the middle of nowhere but to go on and on about what time he's done with school and how would he get to his shift on time. Just seemed excessive, especially when we could hear it.
Hope the kid got the job and a chance to prove he could do...

Last July 3rd, as we were leaving town, Llona, her mom, and I decided to go through the drive thru at A&W in Monterey for breakfast combos to go. Upon taking them, the lid on a steaming hot cup of coffee wasn't secured properly causing it to spill and scold Llona's hand quite badly! She went into the store to run her hand under cold water, and the staff were completely unsympathetic as they told her to talk to the manager on Monday as there was nothing they could do about it on the weekend. Seeing as we were leaving town, we left it at that. When we did finally talk to the manager, afraid of being sued, he offered us 3 free combos, which we accepted as fair compensation. We were told "come in anytime and say your name, and anyone will comp you the meals." I went there yesterday morning, and lo and behold, the manager had NO IDEA what I was talking about, and had no record of the incident, and called me A LIAR TO MY FACE! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!! So now, if something like this happens again, I will NOT be so amiable, I will just go talk to my lawyer, and have HIM settle for what "fair compensation"! THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is why people are so lawsuit...
Read moreI was in today at 6:40pm.I ordered items for my family and myself . When I looked in the bag before I left the store I notice thir was two fries in the bag. I ordered a teen burger with yam fries. When i told the lady i ordered yam fries not fries .The lady at the counter who took my order, she rudely said you never said that and then rolled her eyes. I told her yes I did with my teen burger combo.She said no you never said that and then rudely grabbed the bag and places it aside to wait for the yam fries. She said somthing to the kitchen not in English then said its coming. I was very disappointed in the way she handled the situation and gave attitude to me . I've been in customer service for 15 years I've never seen someone tell me no u never said that in a rude tone . I belive this lady needs more training on customer service while also listening customers taking thir order in a professional manner. I wont be coming back to this...
