barBURRITO — Restaurant in Calgary

I’ve had my share of bad experiences at various BarBurritos in Calgary, but this incident at Barburrito takes the cake. I received the wrong order, which included multiple pork and chicken burritos instead of the two bean burritos I ordered. Out of courtesy, I called to let them know about their mistake.

To my surprise, the order they gave me was intended for another customer whose name started with “K.” She had even tipped them over $8, which made their level of incompetence even more baffling.

When I called, they told me to return to the restaurant. By the time I got there and back, a total of about 25 minutes had passed. Instead of an apology or a simple “thank you,” the staff were incredibly rude, shouted at me, and even argued that it was my fault for taking the wrong order rather than admitting their own oversight.

When I first arrived, I clearly mentioned my name and that it was a pickup order. On my return, despite knowing they had handed me the wrong order, they made me wait an additional 15 minutes instead of preparing the replacement order promptly.

To add insult to injury, they damaged one of the burritos and still packed it as if I were getting it for free. Not knowing which one was damaged, the burrito burst open when it was picked up, causing a huge mess. I will never order from this location again.

To top it all off, the “K” customer came in to collect her order, which had been out of the restaurant’s hands for 20-25 minutes and handled by others. Despite knowing this, they still gave her the order without checking if it had been tampered with. I shudder to think what could happen to someone eating from this place.

The only reason I accepted my order after all this was that they made it in front of me, and someone at home was starving. I had no choice...

I have been a loyal customer of Bar Burrito since the day they opened, and I can confidently say that they have never disappointed me. Every visit has been a delightful experience, thanks to their consistently great food and outstanding customer service.

The food is always fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. Whether I’m ordering my usual or trying something new, the quality is impeccable. The portion sizes are generous, and the ingredients taste incredibly fresh. You can truly taste the effort that goes into every burrito, bowl, or taco.

What sets Bar Burrito apart even more is their excellent customer service. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to make you feel valued. On the rare occasion there’s been a mix-up with my order, they were quick to rectify it, making sure I left satisfied. It’s this level of care and professionalism that keeps me coming back.

I highly recommend Bar Burrito to anyone looking for delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. They’ve earned my trust over the years, and I’ll continue to support them...

Words can not describe the degree in which I am impressed with this location. Gone are the days of egregiously mediocre fast food joints in the Shawville area. I have been to this location three times, each at a different time of day, yet have recieved astounding quality of food and service each time.

The staff are incredibly friendly and brighten up my day each time I go there, the food tastes great, and the ingredients look fresh. You get what you pay for and more as the staff aren't afraid to be liberal with the ingredients. Compared to the competition in the area, you aren't held back by the amount of ingredients you can have, and you can actually taste the meat which is a luxury for the area usually reserved to the Ma' and Pa' restaurants.

Overall it's a 10/10 for me and a very welcome addition to the area. If you're unsure as to where you should get food in the area this location has single handedly taken the top spot on my list, and I'd be surprised if it doesn't do the...
