This is a nice hidden gem in Shawnessy. It's in a weird location with terrible parking and zero signage. Therefore, it's hard to find. They are located in a Climbing centre. Have a look at my photos and you will understand.
It's a small menu and it looks as though they specialize in the Benedicts. Therefore, I ordered the zucchini benny and it was delicious. The Egg was cooked perfectly and the flavours are there. The presentation is very nice. Also, while you eat you get to watch people climb.
Like I mention before, it's a weird place to a cafe and because of this I don't think too many people know about this restaurant. They definitely need some type of sign because there is zero outside. They are only attracting the climbing patrons and they need to do a better job advertise to bring in other members of the public. I only heard about this place thanks to the YYC Facebook Foodie group. Otherwise I wouldn't have known about this place. There isn't too many breakfast cafes in this area so I think it would attract more customers if they advertise...
Read moreThis place is more than a restaurant; this place is more than a climbing gym. This place is indescribable, but I will try my best. I would like to believe that when I die, my mouth is transported to this place so I can indulge in the greatest chicken burger of all time. The flavour of this chicken burger playfully dances between your teeth and tongue, as if seducing your taste buds with its exquisite profile of blended flavours. It’s crunchy… yet juicy and moist at the same time; it hits the perfect paradox of chicken sandwiches that balances crisp and juice that can only be achieved by the highest chefs. Speaking of the chef, this man deserves nothing but good fortune and respect. Not only does he harbour the ability to create pure joy out of raw matter, but he does it with a friendly smile on his face that echos pride. Each time I see this chef, I leave the facility as a better person. It is of great importance to come here and explore this meal, and if you do, you will (or at least should) be sending your compliments...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place.
I came here a few weeks ago with a friend. We both ordered the eggs bennies. I had pulled pork, when it came out the potatoes were hot but the rest of my food was cold. I asked the server if my food could be warmed up. She said oh we don't do that here but I can make you a new one. The kitchen did remake my eggs benny but there no seasoning on my food whatsoever. The pulled pork was dry, tasteless and had no sauce on it and the eggs were very bland.
My friend tasted my meal and mentioned this to our waitress, she said thanks, I will let the kitchen know.
When she came with our bills they were both at full price. I asked if I could get a discount as both my meals weren't as advertised. She said no we don't give discounts. So $20 down the drain for roasted...
