After a doctor’s appointment at the nearby clinic, my family and I craved Vietnamese food and visited this restaurant. We arrived around 4 p.m. and found ample seating. The server promptly brought over a high chair for our son, unfortunately they did not have the base to put food on for the high chair.

We each ordered our own pho. I chose the satay pho with beef steak, while my wife opted for the regular pho with beef steak. We also shared a beef sub (bánh mi). Surprisingly, there was only one size available on the menu, which I would say is probably a large. I’m not sure if you’ll get a smaller size.

The food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. My satay pho was spicy but not too overpowering, which I appreciated. My wife’s pho was also tasty. The sub tasted fresh and was a good size. Our son loved the noodles from the soup too.

Overall, it’s a great place with nice decor and tasty food. The prices did seem a bit higher than usual, but I don’t think it’s exorbitant. If they offered smaller sizes, I imagine the cost would be lower. However, with the large portions, I was able to take some home and enjoy it later.

I definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re...

Called this place because I wanted to inquire if they have gluten-free options the guy was extremely unaccommodating was not educated at all and didn't understand anything that I was describing to him all I asked was there any wheat products in his food and which ones that he would recommend and if he was able to just use separate pots and pans and I get it it's a little bit tough to accommodate for somebody like me but it's very unfair for people who have these allergies to just be turned down like that he told me he doesn't want "any trouble" because accommodating me would be too tough and it would be too risky for him. To the business owner: people with allergies are human too and you should be accommodating in fact you would probably bring in double the business if you were more accommodating to people with severe allergies all you have to do is educate your staff and understand the differences. Will be telling all my gluten-free folks to stay away and if anything also write reviews like this so that other people that are like me understand that these people and these...

Usually a good experience here, the Spicy Sate Pho is great. We come here often and normally get the Pho. We ordered over the phone today for pick up for Spicy Sate Pho and their Seafood Curry. When we arrived, they had a Sate Sub made instead of the Pho. The Owner (male) was completely rude to us, said we made the mistake, not them. We have to pay for this and they will not adjust it. He asked what we wanted to do, we said go with the Pho as that's what we ordered. Rang us in at $40 with the sub included, and said we ordered it, what else would they do? Again, we come here often and always get the Pho, we seem him countless times and never order anything else. I have never had service switch so instantaneously and be blamed for one of their mistakes. Horrible experience and customer service, did not expect that...

I travelled around Calgary for 6 years in search for the best beef pho sate. I tried friends' and coworkers' suggestions, and the ones top-rated by online food bloggers and influencers. My final verdict: Basil has the BEST PHO SATE in the city! The first sip of the broth ignites the senses. No other pho has done that to me. Also, it's the only pho I could finish the broth of without feeling nauseous. I just keep coming back here to cleanse my tongue of other pho's. 😁 * * * I wrote this review in 2019 on Facebook, and I realized this review is long overdue on Google. Photo is from 2019 as well. I now live in Edmonton, but I can't wait to taste this again. I have been to several pho restos in Edmonton, but nothing beats this wonder.

This is a very clean and bright restaurant with great speedy service and quality food for decent prices. It is a great place to come for lunch when time is tight. There is no wasting time at the door as they seat you right away. They take your order and bring you the food in no time!! As their name suggests they have basil in their shrimp 🍤 salad rolls which are amazing! I love their Wonton Soup 🍲 too. It is piping hot and has a generous amount of Wontons and veggies. With plenty of seating and free parking it is very convenient to come and enjoy some Vietnamese Food. #supportlocalbusiness
