Read moreI have gone to this bar on multiple occasions every occasion has been different, but whenever the younger women are working they always are the best servers and the kindest I would definitely recommend this bar if they are working. Also, please give them the biggest tip possible I understand the location is not the best location for servers, but these women do the best they can, and they’re always very accommodating, but the older women that works there seems to be very racist and make you feel very unwelcome. I would go there more if I didn’t feel the intense racism as soon as I walk in the door or maybe she is just under pressure? (when the older woman is working, sorry but if you are a coloured female who has gone there I know you know). They also support local artists so I won’t completely put this business down but if they worked on the racism part I would definitely spend more money and more time there. This is not a hate post but more of just some constructive criticism… anyways good luck and hope you all succeed and realize not every coloured person is a bad person. I don’t think I will go here much longer unless the younger lady is working. She’s the best. Give her big tips if she does her best cause 17th isn’t the easier place to...
Read moreI was almost assaulted by the kitchen help last Saturday while singing karaoke. She first started heckling me screaming obscenities to the top of her lungs. I said nothing as I sat down at my table she followed me and screamed inches from my face. She then tried to grab my purse trying to kick me out of the bar. Again, I said and did nothing. I kept as calm as possible as I have PTSD and I went into survivor mode. She kept watching me and yelling across the bar at me. She finally left when she knew she failed to kick me out. All because she doesn't like me. The owners have done nothing. Update: The owners still will not address what happened. Maybe because the kitchen help is related to one of the owners. I never would have thought they would ignore someone being threatened in their establishment. Shows the maturity and ignorance of the crowd there. Side note: the only time its busy there is the Sunday jam. If they don't like you, they won't get you up to sing. Same people, same boring hillbilly music every time. Service is terrible. This place...
