Pho 88 Noodle House — Restaurant in Calgary

Me, my wife, son and daughter had lunch today. Only people in the restaurant @ 13:00, thought it was a little weird and worried me at first. We used the washrooms, sparkling clean, took notice of the restaurant- The Cleanest Restaurant on the 17th Ave Strip! Great set up and felt like it was super taken care of. Two big thumbs up from me. Food. My daughter ordered a vermicelli spring roll dish and loved it, said it was a 5/5. She’s a picky eater. Son ate a Wor Won Ton small soup, he loved it, only thing I thought was a little weird were the fish balls and not won tons. However it was still good. My sons rating was yummy yummy in his tummy. The owners gave him a little treat bag and he loved it. Wife and I had the Sate Beef Soup. It left a little bit of a funny after taste in my mouth, wasn’t super unpleasant, just different. My wife didn’t think it was spicy enough, I thought it was ok. Parking is meh, could get a bit tough during busy hrs. Bubble tea was like a milk shake, I liked it, daughter hated it.

Pho88 is located on 17 ave SE close to the forest lawn area but don't worry this place is legit. This restaurant is run by an older lady and her husband. The first thing I noticed inside the restaurant was the nice decor (traditional Vietnamese style). I ordered the spring rolls and pho special. The spring rolls here are not overfilled with meat and are very nice and crispy. The pho special came with a nice portion of meat (nicely sliced) and noodles (didn't easily break). We had the most wonderful experience at Pho88. From the moment we walked in, the staff went above and beyond to make our visit special, especially for our kids. After they finished their meal, the restaurant surprised us with the sweetest little goodie bags for the kids — filled with candies and fresh fruits. It’s these thoughtful touches that really set this place apart!
