I absolutely LOVE Jindo.
I have been to SO many cafes all across Calgary, and I have yet to find any place even close to Jindo's creativity, fusion, and unique food/drinks.
There is so much flavour to be explored across all cultures and many cafes in Calgary remain very euro-centric and western. Jindo infuses Korean flavours into classic foods/drinks we love.
The owner is incredibly passionate and it really shows through the abundance in their products. Many places are incredibly stingy with their food/drinks, but Jindo values generosity.
For example the Kimchi Reuben Sandwich (grilled) and yuzu (?), rosemary yakult refresher.
It's my all-time favourite sandwich and I come back for it all the time. I substitute the pastrami for chicken, but either way it's amazing.

Read morei'm such a sucker for excellent service, fine i admit it!!!!! the first time i came here and i ended up talking to the barista for 20 minutes while my friend waited in the car. it's always nice to be in an atmosphere where the people working seem like they actually like their job. the coffee was DAMN good and the vibes were great. pride flag on the door and a shelf full of fliers for diff organizations such as calgary outreach, this place is super inclusive and i felt more than welcome here. the second time i came i got a cappuccino with oat milk and i don't think i will be exploring any more of the menu because this is their MAGNUM OPUS!!!! they sell local art and plants and play good music (which is always a selling point for me) and it's a great location right on macleod trail. TIP YOUR BARISTAS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE COOL LIKE THE PPL...

I walked in to Jindo today to grab some breakfast and a drink, and walked into the very unfortunate situation of a medical emergency. Details are unimportant, but when I arrived, the owner of the Cafe (Daniel, I believe?) was on the phone calling for emergency services, and was doing what he could to keep things going smoothly. EMS/Fire arrived. resolved the situation, and everything ended well enough.
I just wanted to mention how well I believe the staff at Jindo handled the situation they were thrust into. In addition to the fantastic food and drinks offered here, this really solidifies the quality of people who are employed here and are running the business. I would give more than 5...
