I absolutely LOVE Jindo.

I have been to SO many cafes all across Calgary, and I have yet to find any place even close to Jindo's creativity, fusion, and unique food/drinks.

There is so much flavour to be explored across all cultures and many cafes in Calgary remain very euro-centric and western. Jindo infuses Korean flavours into classic foods/drinks we love.

The owner is incredibly passionate and it really shows through the abundance in their products. Many places are incredibly stingy with their food/drinks, but Jindo values generosity.

For example the Kimchi Reuben Sandwich (grilled) and yuzu (?), rosemary yakult refresher.

It's my all-time favourite sandwich and I come back for it all the time. I substitute the pastrami for chicken, but either way it's amazing.

The only minus I'd add is that there is only truly one good spot (table space + outlet) for a person wanting to work/study on their...

i'm such a sucker for excellent service, fine i admit it!!!!! the first time i came here and i ended up talking to the barista for 20 minutes while my friend waited in the car. it's always nice to be in an atmosphere where the people working seem like they actually like their job. the coffee was DAMN good and the vibes were great. pride flag on the door and a shelf full of fliers for diff organizations such as calgary outreach, this place is super inclusive and i felt more than welcome here. the second time i came i got a cappuccino with oat milk and i don't think i will be exploring any more of the menu because this is their MAGNUM OPUS!!!! they sell local art and plants and play good music (which is always a selling point for me) and it's a great location right on macleod trail. TIP YOUR BARISTAS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE COOL LIKE THE PPL...

Fantastic coffee, great options for milk substitutes (The macadamia nut milk is wild. Would recommend.) and some very fun food options.

I walked in to Jindo today to grab some breakfast and a drink, and walked into the very unfortunate situation of a medical emergency. Details are unimportant, but when I arrived, the owner of the Cafe (Daniel, I believe?) was on the phone calling for emergency services, and was doing what he could to keep things going smoothly. EMS/Fire arrived. resolved the situation, and everything ended well enough.

I just wanted to mention how well I believe the staff at Jindo handled the situation they were thrust into. In addition to the fantastic food and drinks offered here, this really solidifies the quality of people who are employed here and are running the business. I would give more than 5...

I wasn’t welcomed warmly (Literally, no “hi nor hello” offered), served with a wrong drink, and the ham and cheddar cheese croffle was just okay. The ambiance was depressing. The place was a bit cold. On the other hand, I love that they support local artists and their chairs were at least cushioned. Background music was faint so I guess it’s a doable place for reading or meet up. During my stay, I noticed they missed another customer’s order. The lady waited for quite sometime outside and had to go in to remind them her order hasn’t been served. The place wasn’t even busy. I only upped the rating because the lady server arranged to change my coffee to my preference. The oat latte I ordered had a sour after taste. It took me awhile to finish the whole cup. I’ll try their matcha latte next time and give them another chance.
