A Flavor Bomb and a Foodie Haven! Fyi, long,(very long) review: If you've been waiting for a truly unique and explosive dining experience in our city, look no further! This new Latin American and Japanese fusion concept is not just good—it's phenomenal, seriously. Designed for sharing, this tapas-style menu is a foodie haven that delivered flavor bomb after flavor bomb. I wish I could elaborate on their cocktails as well, just so much to rave about! Sake, gin, pisco? Sold, delicious! Thank you to our wonderful server! Stellar Start: Ceviche and Tartare From the very first bite of the Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche and the Hamachi Tartare, we knew we were in for something special. The ceviche's leche de tigre is hands-down the best I've had in the city—bright, perfectly acidic, and deeply flavorful. The balance was top-notch, with every ingredient shining through, right down to the fresh cilantro microgreen garnish on the tartare and the subtle sweet corn housemade tortilla. The Main Event: Our Favorites The highlight of the evening, and an absolute must-order, is the Paella with Squid Ink. The rice was bang on, perfect texture, and the fire sauce with it was just...well fire! It was the bomb! We were impressed by the Seabass plate. It was so refreshing to see the entire seabass plated front and center, presented without unnecessary, heavy garnish—just the main event with a masterful side. The fish was perfectly complemented by the incredible ginger scallion salsa, and the coconut sauce at the bottom. We love experiencing food, so this will stay as a good memory. The Unforgettable Finale I waited for dessert all night, and it was worth every second! The chef's ability to balance flavors continued into the final course. This dessert is the dictionary definition of a flavor bomb—a perfectly insane balance of matcha and coconut that manages to be anything but gnarly sweet. You can taste the subtle salt, bitterness, and sweetness all at once. Frankly, I could drink the coconut sauce at the bottom every single day! If you love inventive cuisine, complex flavors, and a menu where every detail is executed with precision, run, don't walk, to this restaurant. We are already planning our next visit! Hopefully they add cortado and some assortment of coffees next time, we're from the North, but I could see stopping by for that matcha dessert anytime we're in the...
Read moreI had high expectation going into this restaurant after seeing all the positive reviews but we three are all disappointed: 1st the service is so average - didn’t even give us a bowl or trash bin for the mussle shell nor did she apologize for the musscle and clam dish won’t have clam. 2nd the food is also average - the pork on the chargrill skewer were quite burned and the temperature is luke warm. The seafood paella - sorry to say this , it is not paella . I imagine they steam some rice first then put some squid ink or black colour sauce on it . The rice has no flavor of seafood at all . The roasted cauliflower doesn’t taste like roasted either. The texture of it feel like it was steamed and then grilled or burned for a short time . So it is mushy. Haven’t written such a negative review for long time...
Read moreSo so so so good. We had the scallop ceviche, half chicken, beef yakitori, and pan frito and everything was delicious. We wolfed everything down and left no crumbs. There was so much flavour in the food and sauces. The differing textures and fusion of Japanese and Peruvian food went together perfectly.
Our server was fantastic! She was the only one working that night but made sure we were taken care of. The space has two different vibes - one side was bright and used white lights, while the other side was darker and cozy. If you get to choose, I would recommend the...
