Wok With Chan Rice House — Restaurant in Calgary

I've frequented this restaurant probably 3-4 times per year for about 8 years now. I usually eat in and its interesting that when I do go there around 1800-1900 hrs, I'm usually the only one there. The food has been good, and last night I vowed to NEVER RETURN! I ordered the chicken chop suey, 2 spring rolls, and salt and pepper seafood. I found a 3-4 inch black hair in my breaded seafood, and i was only about a 1/4 way in to my meal. When I summoned the waitress, who was basically a mute when I came in, very little dialogue, and masked up of course. She had long hair in a pony tail. I showed her the hair on my plate, she said its not hers or the cook, and she said that she saw me rub my hands through my hair. Basically she denied it was hers, or the cook and said that It was mine. I immediately asked for the bill, which I paid, and left no tip, and I left my food. I also stated that I would NEVER RETURN, and that I would go online and leave a review. I'm a professional in Health Care and also stated that I would report them and lodge a complaint with BBB, and Alberta Health. It was the most absolute brutal, impersonal, unprofessional interaction that I've ever encountered with a restaurant. Place was clean staff was courteous and respectful always there if you need something but not hovering over you, stopped in for lunch buffet exceptional value, the gingerbeef was crunchy not old. The veggies were perfectly done and wasn't expensive for lunch buffet. Would defiantly go again, parking is a little bit of a pain and I've had slightly better Chinese food in town but not at this price...

Fairly OK food,Staff is quite attentive, friendly n fast service. Potion sizes were relatively fine. The place was fairly clean. We had a 3 course dinner and price was reasonable acceptable.
