I have been ordering pizza from Chicago Deep Dish Pizza for 20+ years, and I was a regular customer of the Downtown store until it closed permanently. The lack of sauce on my pizza has never been a problem until I started ordering from the North Haven store. I always pay for extra sauce on my pizza (they started charging for extra sauce a few years ago), but the last 4 or 5 pizza orders there has been no extra sauce, and in fact there has been very little sauce on my pizzas, almost none.
I contacted customer service about this complaint, but they did not reply.
They used to offer a "one slice guarantee", but it's no longer available (if you weren't happy with the pizza after eating one slice, they would replace your pizza with a new one)
The pizza and overall service from Chicago Deep Dish Pizza has slowly gone downhill over the last decade, and this is most likely the reason that 3 of their stores have closed permanently -- Bowness, Hawkwood,...
Read more2 Hours for my delivery and I'm getting no response from the only single number they provide. They don't have a customer service line which shows unprofessional-ism, nor do they provide an email that I can see easily to contact them at. I don't even understand how this is a franchise, it's absolutely ridiculous. I called twice; initially to make sure and see if they were open, delivering to my area, and to confirm an order for the night over an hour and a half before close. I called back shortly after deciding my order and they confirmed it saying it would be around 1 hour and 10 minutes due the fact it's a busy night. I understood that I could be waiting for a while but now with no ability to contact them and it beyond their closing time I have no confidence in my order coming through and me not being able to at least get some compensation for this or at least an explanation on time of what's happening to my order is very...
Read moreThis was the first time I tried Chicago Deep Dish pizza, and I was not impressed. Although the pizza was good, the Caesar salad was the worst I have ever had. For nearly $11, I was given a small bowl of lettuce, a bag of soggy croutons with a small sprinkle of bacon bits, and NO parmesan cheese! It was obvious that the croutons and bacon bits are pre-packaged and left in a fridge (this is what made the croutons soggy...they are not supposed to be refrigerated!). And I have never had a Caesar salad that did not have parmesan cheese before! That so-called salad wasn't worth $1, let alone $11! The service wasn't "rude", but wasn't friendly either. My overall experience with Chicago Deep Dish was not very good, and I will not be returning there (there are much better places to get pizza...
