City Pub — Restaurant in Calgary

I have almost everytime I go there is the chicken quesadilla's and it was totally worth every bite, also my bartenders are pretty awesome at making myself & my + one, the best cherry whiskey paralizers ever thanks again this pub is cozy has vlts 5 to play the service is excellent and the pub is friendly nice, covid clean 👍 the atmosphere of the CITY PUB has good tunes, pool tables, karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights, & the singers are really good !! The Food Specials everyday if the week! & the bartender will know your name the first time you go it there its Great!!! The City Pub is just off the main road off 37th st s.w & 26th Ave S.W it's only a 15 min bike ride to my house. Its my new go-to pub for there food homemade and tasty as well as the nice casual feel

My friends and I were told about the City pub from a local radio personality on fb and we decided to try it for the first time. Our waitress was nice but she was very busy and could not come as often as we would have liked. Our karaoke hostess sucked. We all put our songs in together (there was 5 of us) somehow she put me in the bottom and my friends in the beginning. Her sound sounded like drinking out of water. She texted and smoked and wasted time getting songs out. She was abrasive and rude to one of my friends and the whole atmosphere of her turned us off from ever returning. Out of the whole night we barely got two songs in. I was not impressed at all. The atmosphere was great, the food was awesome but she was awful. City Pub definitely exceeded my expectations. If you look at it from the outside, it seems like just another Calgary pub. However, once inside you will quickly discover that the food is wonderful and the staff is even better. I had an order of mozza sticks and a Greek salad. Greek salad is not something most people think of for pub food, but the kitchen staff here NAILED IT. Mozza sticks are as good if not better than others I have had. On top of that, Lanni (bartender) made sure I always had what I needed and did so with a smile. Not a typical bartender smile, but a real genuine smile that you can see through a mask.
