Just finished a late dinner at Codo after traveling, I'm really glad I waited to eat here instead of grabbing a bite in one of the airports along the way.
I ordered a gold margarita and the tequila steamed mussels. The margarita was delicious! Perfectly balanced between sweet and salty. I could have downed several of these but stuck to only one. The mussels were absolutely fantastic. The sauce was tomato-based, with lots of fresh herbs. I squeezed the grilled lemon that came with it over the dish, and the flavour was bright and very satisfying. The mussels themselves were cooked perfectly - tender and juicy, not overcooked or rubbery at all. I've also never had such large mussels before, these were substantial! One mussel was a mouthful. The dish came with grilled sourdough bread and French fries, both of which were excellent.
On top of all that, the service was excellent despite the staff being busy. I was served by Ramesh, and he was very engaging and friendly!
Overall, an excellent experience and I feel very inclined to stay at the Delta again to return to...
Read moreI had lunch at the Codo Agave Social House and it was a great experience, from the services, to the atmosphere and the food & drinks. The team that day was attentive and friendly. I ordered the Summer Spark cocktail, I loved it and would love to have another one. I was by my own so I didn't order any appetizer, and went straight for the Pasta of the week - Chicken teriyaki pasta. The dish was served with udon, not pasta so I was a bit of surprised. The udon noodle was a bit too soft for my liking, but the chicken was flavorful. Last but not least, I ordered the Warm Caramel Toffee Pudding for dessert. It's my favorite everytime I visited the Calgary airport restaurant. Soft, moist and sweet to my preference. I can have their toffee pudding at anytime. I highly recommend to dine in at the Codo before or after your flight, or even if you are in the area, they do provide 2 hours free parking for dine in guests as well. I definitely...
Read moreMy father in law comes to town every month or two and our family always joins him here for brunch. The service and atmosphere are awesome. I'm a huge fan of this place. The food has always been top notch delicious, until recently. Something has changed and the food has lost some of its savory charm. Especially the bacon... I don't know if they're trying to cut costs, but you can definitely tell they switched to that premade bacon in a box stuff that I wouldn't subject any person to. While still charging over $20 a plate. Denny's even has more class than that. I really hope they keep their customers in mind before they make more ingredient and menu changes, otherwise our family will find another restaurant to...
