YYC Lounge — Restaurant in Calgary

3 of us had a long layover in Calgary and decided to go to the lounge. Only 1 of us had an American Express which allows to bring a guest. A gentlemen who rode the elevator up with us offered to put the third person as his guest so we could all enjoy the lounge. The receptionist decided to add the name of person who had the Amex card as the gentleman's guest then proceeded to say that The Amex holder could not use their Amex card since the name was on as a guest. Due to her confusion and lack of knowledge and poor customer service skills; she was unable to fix this matter and all 3 of us left very dissatisfied, hungry and shocked.

This is for the YYC Lounge in the Delta by Marriott at the Calgary International Airport. I find it unacceptable for a bar in an international airport run by an international hotel chain to close one hour earlier than the rest of the week on Sundays. Because of flight issues we arrived late on a Sunday only to find this location closed and no other options. What an unfortunate...

The US Departures lounge is nicely equipped and decorated. Food selection was 'ok', only 2 types of beer but both on tap instead of bottled. About 6 or 7 hard liquors. The location of this lounge is not exactly conveniently located as it is tucked away in the corner behind the foot court area.
