Oct 10, 2022. Today I returned, to this restaurant and my prior four-star experience today has been reduced to one star. I ordered a kids meal two chicken strips fries and a chocolate milk. Sadly the chicken strips were lukewarm, the fries were fresh and hot. I returned to the counter to request one of the apparent managers' reheat the chicken strips, she threw those ones away, electing to request two new ones be cooked. It really bothers me with the amount of people that are starving in the world to see food get discarded. It also bothers me that somebody who is supposed to be a manager makes an assumption I'll be at on her part thinking is a nice one, to provide me with freshly cooked ones as opposed to the reheated ones which I was prepared to accept.
It was extremely disappointing to see how make a comment with a chuckle to one of her coworkers about this. This in my opinion was condescending, and disrespectful. I indicated to the same lady that this is the first time I've had a negative experience at a dairy Queen here in Calgary! I also indicated to this lady with the blonde hair, that chuckling while I was talking was also disrespectful.
Prior visit: (4stars) Service was good, food was as well. The French fries were okay... fresh hit crunchy mixed with warm not crunchy, I had to have the 2 orders replaced. Washroom nice and clean, staff friendly. Overall a nice experience! The fires tho dampened...
Read moreI typically have an ok experience when coming to this DQ, but today was the exception. I ordered a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup blizzard, but after getting home with the blizzard partially melted, I realized that I was given a Reese's Pieces and Cookie Dough blizzard instead. Now I have a gluten sensitivity, so I don't order the typical fast food here (a little cross-contamination is fine), but if this mistake happened with something like a strawberry cheesecake blizzard or anything else that has cookie crumbs or gluten, then there would be problems. I also happened to go by at an off-peak time and the store wasn't busy.
The person who took my money also didn't even tell me the dollar amount before holding out the debit machine, which was also tilted so you couldn't see the dollar amount on the screen. It's seems to be common here that the person taking the money doesn't tell you what the total dollar amount is for the sale, which is terrible customer service, because that has happened the last few times I have come by for ice cream.
I would rate a typical visit at 3/5 stars primarily because of the staff behaviours (such as being not necessarily unfriendly towards their customers but I also wouldn't call it friendly and how they go right back to talking to one another immediately after taking the customer's money) so I'm rating this visit as...
Read moreBy far the worst DQ in Calgary. Went to go get a cake for a birthday party, and the two ladies helping me provided very poor customer service. I've been getting DQ ice cream cakes from many locations for several years, and whenever I go the workers are always accommodating for the message writing, and the multiple usage of colour choice. It seems as though this DQ is cheap, and the lady assisting me FORCED me to use one colour with a rude and disgusting attitude. Not like they were out or anything, but gave the excuse of "it will look bad." The two ladies assisting me in the drive thru clearly do not understand the meaning of customer service. Never coming to this location again, due to the rude and impolite service I have received. My friends and family have similar issues with this location, and moving forward, all of us are sticking with the Nolan Hill location, as for the employees over there are very welcoming, respectful, and understand the true definition of...
