We ordered Dinner for 3 - Shanghai Noodles, Sweet and Sour pork, and Ginger beef.
The food was hot - Shanghai noodles were spot on, Sweet and sour pork was great as well, except the breading was a bit soft but It wasn't to big of a bother (could have been miscommunication with when food was ready) Chicken fried rice was exactly what it should have been. Spring rolls were good too. The Ginger beef however I have never had one that tasted like either too much soy sauce or salt was put into it - Wasn't really gingery (probably overpowered from the salt) on top of that and lacked that crunchy outer breading. I will say it was a pick up order, so maybe this put into play with how the breading turned out. The meat itself was tender though. Was also a 40 minute wait time from their online order (I don't know if they confirm the time wait or not or if its a generic time).
One point off food for the Ginger beef, and One point off for the 40 minute wait time. Maybe confirm by calling the guests about their online order if their food will be ready...
Read moreThe menu and pictures of dishes on their website looked good so we thought we’d try this place. As a first time customer we were disappointed and therefore wouldn’t recommend this place due to the following reasons. The pictures do not at all represent what you get (salt and pepper chicken were chunks instead of strips, fried rice darkened with soy sauce and not as flavorful as other restaurants) Beef in Black Pepper Sauce was more like beef and mixed vegetables. I’m not sure if this was an error or not, but regardless, dish wasn’t peppery as expected. Portions were smaller than typical (food just filled the bottom of the styrofoam takeout container rather than heaped) The free dish over $65 or $75 was not available because this isn’t apparently available during “special days”. What is “special days”?
The taste was ok but nothing special. A much better alternative in roughly the same neighborhood with similar prices and a free dish are Toi Shan, A&P and Hot n Fast. There’s Signature Palace but a bit on the...
Read moreUpdate: July 2023 This place has taken a major down hill slide. Meat portions are a total rip off. Ridiculous small pieces cut in tiny strips! What the hell is that about? Small strips of meat so small you can nearly think it’s noodles. Taste is so so. I don’t recommend. The year before: Very fresh and tasty food I ordered the Cantonese noodles with veggies, chicken, pork and shrimp and was very fresh and flavorful. We ordered the lemon chicken and Ginger beef and really enjoyed both dishes. All the dishes had very nice portions too. I will look forward to eating the left overs for lunch the next day, yum! Glad they are close by because we will be back. Also, all the staff were very welcoming and very friendly upon entering the place. They gave that warm and fussy feeling when you...
