Ducky's Pub & Restaurant — Restaurant in Calgary

I recently went to Duckys to meet a couple of friends coming from an office Christmas party. After my friend had bought the first round, I went to the bar to get water for the two of us. The bar-tender responded with if you plan to drink water all night, Im going to have to charge you for it.

I had ordered one water from the bar, and, remembering that I had forgotten my friend, went back to order another. Apparently, ordering two waters in a row is against the rules at Duckys and elicited this wholly inappropriate reaction. I was taken aback by the rudeness of the bar-tender and returned, speechless, to the table. I implore all those reading this review to rethink their choice of bar, and find another place to satisfy their karaoke cravings. Ducky

If you are looking for bars with karaoke everyday, I would recommend Nanta on 6th St. Down-town. It's more authentic, and the bartenders do not chastise you for ordering a glass of tap water. Avoid...

I have been a customer of Ducky's for years. It really annoys me that some people will write negative reviews about Ducky's for some really dumb reasons. Number 1 - If you put a song in at 11 on a Friday night and there are 40 other singers in line ahead of you, you won't be called in 20 minutes. Deal with it. Those other people have been waiting longer than you. Number 2 - Having to wait 30 minutes for a drink. Look, as a person of the industry let me explain something to you. When a bar is full and the bartenders are working like crazy, you have to wait your turn for a drink, it happens. Deal with it. Ducky's has a ton of awesome long term clientele. The place is always bumping on the weekends, and the quality of the karaoke equipment is the best in the city. The karaoke host Gary puts on an amazing show every single time. VERY talented funny gentleman. Not to mention a lot of the regulars are fantastic singers so its always full of talent and very entertaining. I love this pub, and will continue to go there and recommend it to all my friends....

Always come here for the amazing karaoke experience. Today my boyfriend and I split a bill at a table where other people shared due to lack of space. It was told to the server in the beginning we were separate. At the end "Amy" our server did not separate the bills recently nor included drinks purchased at our table costing me an additional 30$. When I confronted her about this she already got her tip and payment and walked away from me mid sentence. I talked with another server who said she would talk go her, but I never got my money back for what I did not purchase.. I'm super dissapointed Edit: Jenn ( another server dealt with me and gave me my money back on the two drinks I did not order) Very friendly service on her part. I think it would be nice if any apologized, and she was making faces at me from afar after this happened which made me feel super uncomfortable.
