If I had to describe Joey's Only restaurants in three words it would be: Terrible food, terrible service, and overpriced food. I ordered the St. Louis ribs expecting a full rack of tasty ribs, a large amount of crispy fries, and a decently sized Caeser salad. I received 3 rib bones with a small amount of meat in between them, maybe less than a small fries from McDonalds, and some lettuce with a couple of dried, hard bread chips in a small container. The meal was depressingly cost 24$ for maybe what cost them 5$ to make. The food overall was not too bad, I just want to emphasize how the food came in a minuscule amount. The service was not amazing, as our waitress danced around other tables while we had our credit card ready to pay, and our food plates stacked neatly waiting for her to take them away. While waiting, another 2 families had sat down, ate, and paid for their meal. Us sitting waiting for this "waitress" made it blindingly apparent that the service sucks. I am not over-exagerreting our experience when I say that our meal cost $100+. A HUGE rip-off. I bet the fish would have been a better choice, but I won't go back to try it...
Read moreI normally enjoy visiting Joey's Seafood, but visiting this location was a disappoint experience.
The good: -No wait time. -Clean. -Fast service. -Friendly staff.
The bad: -Disappointing food. I enjoy the fish tacos and order them everytime I go to any Joey's Seafood. At any other location these tacos are fully stuffed, and spill out with every bite. It is a bit messy, but still great. However, at this location the tacos barely had any content. No bowl for the salad. When I order salad, I expect it come on its own plate (or bowl). However, they served the salad on the same plate as the main course, and it just looked spilled onto the plate. Felt a bit rushed. We had just received our food and hadn't had a chance to take a single bite, when the server came by asking how the food was. I understand that this was because the person who brought our food was not the same person who took our order, but issues like these avoided by having proper communication...
Read moreMy husband and I visit Joey's Seafood Restaurant on Crowchild quite often and love to bring our friends and family. The restaurant is run by a very friendly couple: Peggy (who looks after the dining area) and her husband (chef in the kitchen). The service is always good👍🏻. You will receive a friendly greeting when you enter; the menu and specials will be explained; the food is delicious; the fish is lightly battered; and the fries are a generous portion. You can tell that all the ingredients are fresh from the first bite (even the dipping sauces) and the meal is served hot ! Haddock, Cod, Calamari and Tacos are our favourite. Yum! The restaurant is so clean and tidy. We highly recommend Joey's on Crowchild. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Peggy, we will, for sure,...
