The most interesting Monogram location if you're interested in Specialty Coffee in Calgary. A place to try some rare beans from variety of roasters. The pastry game here is also ON POINT. Highlights: - Many different (20+) micro-roasted coffees brewed on kalita. I tried the Ethiopia Damo Carbonic process, and an Ethiopia Gesha #86 from "the cupping room" in Hong Kong. - The staff are very skilled & coffee knowledge is very high. Noticed freepour latte art swans, and baristas able to articulate coffee in an understandable way. - It's a BRIGHT place. No more dingy dungeon feeling coffee stores. Challenges: - Tight space with 'interesting' seating arrangements - Can get very busy, which makes asking employees for suggestions and etc a bit more challenging.

One of the best coffee places in Calgary. I love the accessibility of this location. Parking can be a bit tight at times, but there's usually something. Seems like Monogram roasts their own coffee beans now, but I have yet to verify this (they used to be supplied from Transcend Edmonton). They sell their coffee beans at this location. They also offer amazing pastries! Their hops cold brew is quite tasty. They can also make you espresso with tonic (pictured) - one of my favourite summer drinks! There's a small patio in front of the coffee shop. Also the menu offers an espresso milk shake made from Marcus ice cream, but I have yet to try it. I wish Monogram would have more options for kids drinks, though.

Love this location. Very cool coffee shop. My girlfriend loved their iced coffee slushie - absolute winner. I had their most expensive pour over option. I wanted to test their pour over quality and I was satisfied with it. The Elida Aguacate had a very similar profile to houchija - notes of toasted rice grains were most prominent. Admittedly the recyclable plastic lid alerted the flavor - but that can be easily removed. And I admit that I ordered it to go. Their baked goods looked exciting but to take this cafe to the next level that might be the one thing I might suggest improving on. I had visited their Altadore location many years ago and wasn't impressed but I'm very happy with this location.

Clean, simple and fresh decor. Large windows, high ceilings, sunlight fills the space. I was very excited to watch their progress when they 1st openned. Parking is tricky in this busy little strip mall area but usually well worth the effort. The stores are packed with fun unique stores. I love coming to this area and was hopeful this would be a great addition. Unfortunately, found myself disappointed after a few visits. From the limited menu, the polite when you made eye contact but otherwise obviously didn't care to speak more than the minimum to customers (but would chat amongst themselves) staff slowly making your coffee, plus the number of people that filled the cafe sitting with their MacBooks, headphones and empty cups/plates to the underwhelming food and uncomfortable seating - we've moved along to other cafes. The coffee was good but the experience was lacking. Not sure if the MacBook folks knew how carbon copy they all looked but it was funny and annoying at the same time. At the last visit, we couldn't find a seat for 2 at 2pm as the row of them filled all the seats along the window. The place is quite small, and with the tables filled, they should be more respectful and work elsewhere. The Central library is a better space to...

I had a very disappointing experience at the Britannia location. We stopped by for a quick to-go coffee. We already knew what we wanted, but the barista was completely absorbed in a casual conversation with another customer holding a bag of coffee beans.

We waited for about five minutes, hoping to be acknowledged. At one point, the barista glanced in our direction, but she didn’t say a word or make any effort to greet or serve us. It felt like a deliberate dismissal, and honestly, it made us feel invisible. I couldn’t help but wonder if it was because we didn’t look like locals, which made the experience even more upsetting.

Eventually, we left without ordering. I never expected to be treated like we didn’t exist. It was quite shocking.

To be fair, I’ve always enjoyed Monogram’s coffee at their downtown location—it’s consistently fresh and excellent. But today’s experience at Britannia really left a...

My Fave Coffee Spot! There are some gems in Calgary as well, but even if there is one other different shop in the south, I take drives to Altadore and enjoy the patio! The Staff is always soo lovely, they always understand my Quadshot Americano request.. Every coffee Shop on Van Isle always without question knew what I meant... and other places here look at me sideways and then I have to clarify haha

They are always so friendly, and kind and quick! I always have one coffee shop I make my home base anywhere I live - on the island even though there so many top top notch places - Caffe Fantastico was always my heart and my home base they all knew my name and who I was and hugs and all that! I was 4500kms from home and that place was my home. Monogram reminds me of that. Covid has put a damper for sure on getting to know staff but either way - it's always a treat and their Coffee keeps...
