Murphy loves to come here to visit his friends. Always a great crowd. Great for those who enjoy a smoother topography than Edworthy. Well kept and well respected by all the fellow dog families who clean up after their pup friends. If you'd like your dog to have a good play while you have great, friendly, conversations... this is the place for you.

⚠️Please avoid if you: -Bring good smelling food (you will be surrounded) -Plan to train for your marathon (Dogs like chasing things that run including bicycles) Get angry if a dog jumps on you (many dogs are still learning. This is their place to have fun and they are just excited to see you) -Have an overly aggressive dog. SERIOUSLY, it's not fun for anyone.

Otherwise an amazing place for your dog to have fun and meet some great people. Please just don't get angry that dogs are going to be dogs.

Remember it's their playground...

Love this area. Close access to river. Wade in. Throw rocks. Safe. Lots of tables etc but all ate bookable . Bring your own chairs and table. Ok playground. Parking ok but busy. Road down to park almost not drivable due to ruts. City needs to fix. No excuse this is in such bad shape. Bathrooms closed easter wknd. Whattt!!!!???? So many ppl need a bathroom. One porta potty was at parking area. It was 1 cm from the top FULL. Shame on the city. It was disgusting. Had to take our 3 yr old to find some distant trees to do his business #1 and 2. No time to pack up and drive to a stn which most are closed!!! Horrible. We may be fighting covid but dont forget everything else. I still love this park but city needs to step up and keep it covid and...

Great place for a walk, picnic, gatherings, relaxing by the water, fishing, and so on. There's plenty of benches throuput the park where you can actually book them for your next events. Some of the sites have 4 or 5 picnic benches while the bigger sites have 6 to 8 picnic benches. There's plenty of room to sit by the water or walk along it and there's a beautiful bridge you can cross as well. However, if you're coming on a hot day the parking can be challenging as it only has about 4 or 5 rows or parking. People do park along the gravel pathway but because it is not a parking spot I have seen people get tickets. So come early and get a parking spot and enjoy the beautiful park. It also has a...

What a beautiful hidden gem of a place! We had picked up some ice cream at Village Ice Cream, and while looking at Google Maps, we spotted this area. We are so happy that we decided to check this place out. There's a nice playground at this park, but that's not the drawing point. You can easily walk onto the Rocky Beach area next to the river. The river is very shallow, so there's no worry about being caught by any currents. People still launch their little rafts and float down the river. It's a great place to bring your family. There's plenty of grassy areas for bbqs and picnics. Kids can frolic in the water or skip some stones. What a wonderful little place in Calgary!

Beautiful park with two off leash areas for your dogs. keep a close eye on your dogs here. I always do but my dog still managed to come down with quite the bug the day after a walk here, unsure exactly what caused it. However it does appear she will make a full recovery with some medications. That being said, we have been here 4 times prior off leash with no incident. Will be much more cautious if we decide to return and will keep her on the leash for future visits to ensure her nose doesn't end up in anything that can make her sick as her health is ultimately my responsibility and not the parks.

I really like this place over. There are certain issues that needs to be addressed. One would be regarding insufficient parking, we roamed around for 30 to 40 minutes just to find a parking up the hill and then walked all the way down which is about a 5 minute walk. The other concerning thing is there is not a road that connects to the main parking lot and is filled with gravel and sand which makes the tires vulnerable to get damaged. Other than that there are pre-assigned places that you can book without any issues. Overall a great place to visit
