Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Calgary

I recently had two disappointing experiences with Popeyes that I need to share. Both times, I ordered through the app and was excited to pick up my food, only to find it wasn’t ready when I arrived. The wait was frustrating, especially since I had placed my order 25 minutes in advance! I was told the chef forgot.

To make matters worse, I was forced to park on the side while I watched cars in the drive-thru getting their orders much faster. It's like being punished for using the app! I even called the store to speak with the manager about the issue, but they told me the manager wasn’t there and promised I would get a call back. Spoiler alert: I never received that call. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively. I expected better service, and I will not go back to this location.

I walk in, and I would like to say greeted by the Assistant Manger (her title was on the tag.) She looks at me with the coldest look ever given, not a word is spoken to me, just a glare. I was like um Hello? I received zero greeting zero civility, she was like what are you having, it was shocking really. Maybe my hair is stupid or she didn't like that 5'7 I have no idea why the cold shoulder. I just ordered my meal and wow shocked by it really. It was my first time visiting this Cornerstone branch and I had a very pleasant experience. I went with my extended family. First thing they mentioned is that they do not take mobile orders, which is okay so not sure how other reviewers were able to get a mobile order and had to wait. But anyway my experience was really good. I had asked them to make the chicken fresh as we were a total of 8 members. They told me it will be a wait of 20 minutes, which I did not mind. But the 20 minute wait was worth it. It was the most fresh chicken pieces I have ever had and they were the largest pieces as well when compared to other Popeyes branches.
