Iâve been to better BarBurritos. East Hills is awesome, Castleridge one is great too. This one is subpar.
We visited on Sunday April 6th in the afternoon. The girl asked if I wanted cheese in my burrito, I said no. She asked me again, if I wanted cheese, as she picked up the scoop of cheese I said no, she dropped the cheese and realized what I was saying. Mistakes happen itâs ok.
I asked her to make my burrito again. She tried to pick the cheese out however I told her I have a dairy allergy and would rather prefer she start over with a new wrap. I donât think she liked my request as she continued to ignore it but I donât want to risk getting a reaction. She did not start over. She dumped the bulk of the fillings in the garbage but used the same wrap. Some fillings remained on the wrap as she began again so I wasnât confident that she got all the cheese off the wrap so I asked her to re do my wrap. She did not start over and instead with a lot of attitude started to retaliate â oh so you wonât be having any sauces too right, they all have dairy, youâre allergicâ, I told her I get the bang bang sauce which does not contain milk. She replies âyes it does, it has mayoâ, I replied well that isnât dairy, she says âitâs has eggsâ, I go well thatâs not dairy either. She continues to say Iâm wrong and that I need to scan the QR code. I told her I donât have to scan the QR code for allergens because I get this often and I confidently know itâs milk free.
I should have told her to scan the QR code to learn about it but I was there with my kids and didnât want to argue back. She was just looking for ways to attack back, it was very unnecessary. I shouldnât have to defend my topping choices to your employees. Your shop concept is literally about customers choosing their toppings.
She made such a small mistake that could have VERY easily been fixed and squashed.
If you are hiring newcomers, please give them training on Canadian standards of service. We do not attack our paying customers here for their choices. If your employees donât have any understanding of allergies or even flat out giving the customer their preferred toppings, they require training. If your employees canât accept mistakes and need to show attitude or attack your customers, they need training.

   Read moreIâm editing my previous post. Not because of the service BUT of concerns of understaffing. I visit this establishment 2-3 times a weekly and am concerned with the understaffing on weekends. EG: I went in today and to see only one lady working on a Saturday afternoon and at least 6 people I line with additional orders going on through skip apps etc: NOT COOL! The lovely lady was overwhelmed, apologetic, and straight up overwhelmed! Who can blame her!!!??? I asked her point blank âwhoâs the owner and why are you here by yourself??â She seemed very nervous BUT Iâm an advocate so Iâm gonna post here period!
To the owner: Get more staff!!!! Pronto Or risk losing good employees and customers like myself.
