UPDATED REVIEW
After my initial experience at Stacked, I exchanged emails with the owner where he apologized for the initial mishap, so after some time I ultimately decided to give them a second chance. This time, I visited their Shawnessy branch (new location), which coincidentally is also operated by the same owner, Eric.
This time, I had indeed the chance to meet Eric in person. He personally apologized for the original incident and made a sincere effort to ensure everything went smoothly this time. He even offered a symbolic discount as a gesture of goodwill. His attention to detail and genuine care were refreshing.
The food during this visit was excellent, and I’m glad I gave Stacked another chance, potentially my new place to go going forward. This experience showed that they are willing to learn from mistakes and work hard to provide better service. Great work guys!

Disastrous First Visit to Stacked
During my first visit to Stacked today for breakfast, the experience turned sour from the moment my first cup of ice-cold coffee was served, followed by the arrival of tasteless potatoes and the main plate with a long HAIR in it – a series of unpleasant surprises. Despite a friendly waitress and related personnel in general, the manager, Kevin, failed to meet industry standards.
While I'm not seeking free food (in the end, I received my replacement food and consumed it), it's disheartening that the usual symbolic compensation or discount for such inconveniences (in particular the sanitary ones like the hair in my food) was not granted. Even the personnel acknowledged that this type of discount is expected at restaurants when similar situations have happened to themselves. This highlights the need for Stacked to reconsider their approach to customer satisfaction. In particular Kevin, the manager.
It wasn’t nice for my wife to find herself eating alone, while I waited 10 minutes waiting for the replacement plate after the hair-in-food fiasco.
This was my first time at this restaurant, but the lack of basic customer service standards by Kevin has ensured it will also be my last. Breakfast should be an enjoyable experience, but this ordeal has made it clear that Stacked falls short in delivering a satisfactory dining experience. I sincerely hope they take this feedback to heart and make the necessary improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
If you’re lucky enough, you might have minimal issues, but think twice before coming...
Read moreThis is the best breakfast place that you can get outside of cooking in your own home. The food is so good, It tastes " Real" and although that sounds silly, let's all be honest here.. not many places these days make the food taste so good. The service here was second to none! Our server Sarah was very welcoming and made our experience also feel like we were eating at home. She was so great and handling majority of the tables by herself, big smile, friendly attitude and I guess to sum it up she just had really good customer service! Again, most places don't provide that stays. The best way to describe it is " It tastes like home", like eating at your grandma's on a Sunday, we're having a breakfast for supper made by someone that you love deeply. This place is food is really good and worth every penny! The portions are also quite big, I can rave on about it but I must end my review here. I recommend having a stack of pancakes to share as a starter, because they're massive and they make a great starter (We had the cinnamon ones with strawberries added). The omelettes are very tasty and it looks like the pictures, their home fries are absolutely fresh and tasty. If you get like a general breakfast. It's such a massive serving lol. Again I could ramble on (which I just did) So go check it out and experience. Amazing...
Read moreWalking into Stacked PANCAKES & BREAKFAST HOUSE felt like getting a warm hug from a good friend! Right off the bat, Ayami, our host, welcomed us with such kindness and a big smile that we knew we were in for a treat. She’s just super lovely – you’ll know what I mean when you meet her.
Then there’s Sara, our waitress, who was just a bundle of energy and smiles. She knew the menu inside out. It’s not just about being professional (which she totally is), but you can tell she loves what she does, making our breakfast even more enjoyable.
Everyone working there was just as friendly and nice. It’s like they’ve all decided that grumpy isn’t a thing at Stacked.
The place itself is spotless and has this cool, welcoming vibe that’s perfect for families or just kicking back and enjoying a meal.
The breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. Everything was perfectly cooked, the portions were generous, and it all just tasted amazing. It’s like they’ve taken your favorite breakfast and just made it better.
In short, Stacked PANCAKES & BREAKFAST HOUSE is the place to be if you’re after a tasty breakfast with vibes that are just as good. The food, the people, the atmosphere – it’s all top-notch. Definitely, I’ll be visiting again. Do yourself a favor and check it out – your taste buds...
