Urban Crust Pizza (UC pizza) — Restaurant in Calgary

I ordered the Urban Crust Special 3 (2 large pizzas, 10 wings, and 2L pop) off the UC Pizza website for pickup later in the day.

I ordered: 1 large UC Special Meat pizza 1 large Meat Supreme pizza 10 BBQ wings 1 2L Brisk Ice Tea pop 2 dips (I chose hot and creamy garlic)

The food was ready exactly at the time I ordered it ready for. I arrived a little early and the pizza chef informed me of how much longer it would take and he was right on time.

I served this meal for myself and 3 guests and we LOVED it. The pizzas had plenty of toppings and cheese. The crust and base, although on the softer side, were well cooked and savory. The ingredients used to create the dough were well prepared, fresh, and delicious. And both the pizza and the wings arrived hot after 7 minutes drive.

Speaking of the wings, the BBQ wings were fantastic. Plump, with a nice tangy BBQ sauce - not too much sauce, which I appreciate. My guests brought three other varieties of wings of two different brands, and UC Pizza’s wings were my favorite, hands down. I had a little of the hot sauce on the wings and it was amazing, similar to a Louisiana vinegar based hot sauce like Frank’s Red Hot.

Everything about my experience tonight from the ordering process, the service, and most importantly the food, was top notch. I don’t often eat pizza, but Urban Crust Pizza is now at the top of my list for when I do next....

The pizza I ordered (Canadian Rockies) was sub-par at best. There was NO distinct flavours or freshness at all. Basically, just glop. Horrible! There was nothing that was either Canadian or Rockies about the food. That aside and definitely not his fault but his Punjabi (I guess) accent was so thick I had to ask him to repeat every word and sentence. Perhaps have someone that has a good command and comprehension of the English language to “man the phones” I can’t really comment on things like atmosphere/ambiance or service I mean really I was in the place for all of 4 minutes. The fellow brought the food from the kitchen to the front counter and I paid for it. I couldn’t believe that there was actually a tip function on the payment/guilt machine (on a take-out place) I find it insulting. I mean really what’s to tip for? Bottom line is, I would definitely not recommend this place and for sure I will not be returning there to give them any business. I doubt very much this place will be open for any extended period of time....

I recently ordered their newly added to the menu, Cilantro Chicken Pizza, and let me just say, it was absolutely incredible! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the fresh cilantro adding a wonderful zest that paired so well with the juicy, tender chicken. Every bite was bursting with freshness and flavor!

A special shoutout to PUNJAB SINGH, who crafted this masterpiece. I can truly tell that he puts passion and skill into every pizza he makes. Wonderful guy he is. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were generous without being overwhelming. I could taste the care and quality in every slice!
