YiFang Taiwan Fruit Tea — Restaurant in Calgary

I was just served by Hui and the service I received was completely unacceptable. A customer before me was unsure of her order and had to call someone to clarify. I asked if I could go ahead with my order while she sorted hers out, and Hui told me yes. I made it very clear that I was in a hurry, it was extremely hot, and I urgently needed a refreshment. Hui assured me it was no problem.

Instead of keeping his word, Hui went back on what he agreed and served the other customer first. When I questioned this, both Hui and the lady began harassing me, telling me I was being “unreasonable.” That was not only disrespectful but also completely out of line. I was simply asking for the service Hui had already promised, yet I was made to feel attacked and dismissed by both an employee and another customer, in full view of others.

It does not matter who was technically first; once Hui agreed to let me go ahead, he should have honoured it. Breaking that agreement, wasting my time, and then allowing me to be ganged up on by another customer is unacceptable behavior.

This is not acceptable customer service. Hui needs better training on how to properly handle situations like this, especially when a customer’s request has already been acknowledged. I left feeling not only frustrated but also harassed and disrespected.

I expect this complaint to be taken seriously, and I will continue to escalate it...

Service was a tad slow but given that they’re new, it’s not surprising. Brown sugar latte and wintermelon lemonade were tasty and a good amount of boba given.

EDIT: came back the day after to try different drinks. They said they ran out of pearls and it’s 2pm on a Sunday...? We were order number 26 so it didn’t make sense they’d run out. The cashier said they cook pearls for 3 and 7pm, so what do they just not serve pearls until then? We got the grass jelly tea (which doesn’t come with grass jelly) and it was alright. Tasted like the liquid you get when you open a can of grass jelly. I got the mountain lemon tea at half sweet and it tasted so sour I couldn’t finish. Then one of the girls working behind the counter was blowing her nose, leaves used tissues on the counter and didnt wash her hands after and proceeded making drinks. Kind of gross. Don’t think I’ll be back...

I came to visit from California and our family decided to get some boba. We got hella Yi Fang’s here so i wasnt expecting much but WOW!! I gotta say their drinks were FLAVORFUL AND AUTHENTIC!!! We got their Yifang Fruit Tea(so gooodddd😋😋😋, we can taste the tea and the fruits are FRESH NOT SYRUP!), Brown sugar pearl matcha (the mix is done so well), Brown sugar pearl cocoa(they use some good cocoa and not just chocoloate syrup), Sugar cane kumquat green tea(refreshingly sweet with a nice lemony kick to it), Winter Melon Lemonade with Aiyu(most freshing drink everrr), and Peach soda pop. I been to a few, but i can authentically say this hole in the wall is the best Yi Fang i been to!!! Its not watered down like some places and the staff were really nice and patient. I had to come back the next day for some more FRUIT TEA! Will be coming backkkk next...
