Daves' Bakery — Restaurant in Campbell River

The food was delicious, I could taste the quality and freshness of the bread and veggies in the sandwich I ordered. However, the staff’s attitudes behind the counter left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Multiple staff members seemed on edge and frantic for no reason other than there was a lunch rush line up, as no one in the line seemed to be bothered to wait. To the point that a customer with a question was turned away with the reasoning of “we have a line-up”.

Note to the staff member who assisted us specifically: you are visible from behind the counter. Which is something to keep in mind before snatching & crumpling a sandwich form I had filled in and throwing it in the trash, not before waving it and shaking your head at another staff member - then turning to us smiling to fill out a new sandwich form as if we’d missed the performance….Also, if you don’t want customers filling out the sandwich forms (to the extent that it enrages you so) maybe remove the note from your menu advising that forms are at the counter to be filled out & move them from the top of...

I don’t typically go to bakeries as I can’t afford artisan breads but I decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and check it out and my experience was great!

Staff was amazing, super personable and chatty. The portions were sizeable and well priced (I’m frugal so thats saying something) and the soup was some of THE best I have ever had in my life! (cabbage roll soup)

They even have “day old” discounted loaves and other baked goods so anyone can afford “fancy” delicious baked treats.

I picked up a French baguette and ate some on the way home, it was sooo good I didn’t even realize I was eating part of the paper bag with it! (Wish I was kidding)

I will 100% be returning, and hopefully becoming a frequent flyer! Gotta try the other...

Just discovered Dave's Bakery while visiting from Comox, we tried 3 different sandwiches + various cookies & a choc salt ball, all were excellent!

Did an online order a few days later for the 2 different types of Breakfast Croissants + a Quiche & different cookies ~ everything was ready on time & Star was so kind to re-warm my custom sandwich 🥪 for me when I arrived after the lunch rush. She also made our grill cheese & Reuben on Sat, fantastic.

Her & her mom MJ helped us both times, terrific service. It's a busy place, excellent quality breads, Sammys, cookies, savories & sweets! Really glad we found this place, will be back. Highly...
