I-Wok Food Bar Ltd — Restaurant in Campbell River

Ridiculous! Ordered from home and we would pick up. They had our name, home number and cell number. It was a large order for 4, including 2 house guests who really wanted to try it out. We were in the area prior to the delivery schedule so we stopped in to pick it up. After waiting over 10 minutes, and customers coming in not acknowledging you are waiting and stepping up to the front (very disorganized). Then this young girl starts talking to a man that just walked in, albeit she knew I was definitely there first, I stopped and explained I was already here. Long story short they did not have our order, everyone looking around for paperwork, and the “oh we can’t find we make it for you fast”. We left! Pathetic and very disorganized. Will NOT go back. Too many good restaurants in Campbell River that offer take out...

I went here for dinner around 6 PM, ordered the 2 item combo: 1 dish chicken chow mein + 1 Entree dish of sweet & sour pork which costed $15. No one greeted me or even looked at me. On the menu board it showed a picture of a dish full of food next to Entree orders so I thought I would be getting a full dish/container of sweet & sour pork and another full of chicken chow mein, instead all I got was a measly 1/3 full a standard size round container of sweet & sour pork, 2/3 full of chicken chow mein... the sweet & sour pork was tough & dry, and the chicken chow mein lacked any flavour or decent size bits of chicken, and the noodles were undercooked too chewy.

Would not recommend, horrible portion sizes for the prices and substandard...

I really wanted to like this restaurant, but could not. The two of us ordered wonton soup; confusing system of ordering large soup for two is better than 2 soups for one. Dine-in service brought platters of food, but no plates. No spoons for soup. Forgot beverages even though it was written down and the restaurant was empty. Everything too sweet. Forced to give large tip BEFORE receiving mediocre food and bad service. Overall: absolutely no common sense. i-wok Food Bar won't be...
