Imagine Thai Food — Restaurant in Campbell River

I'm not sure why people are posting 4-5 stars, my experience was less than stellar. I came to this place after seeing great reviews on google/yelp. I'm going out of my way to write a review based on an experience I had yesterday.

I came here for dinner one night. Service was okay, nothing exceptional. The young hostess seemed a little inexperienced but she was polite more or less. The owner seemed friendly. This is the only reason why I'm not giving this place 1 of 5.

Here's the essence of my criticism: there's something wrong with their meats. I've ordered satay chicken skewers to start and pad panang (pork) as the main - both meats were dry. I don't think the chicken was marinated and my guess is that it was cooked after being sliced. It lacked any juiciness - I didn't finish it. The pork was initially unrecognizable. I finished that dish out of hunger.

I was shocked at the treatment I received tonight. I have never had anything but good things to say about the food there but tonight I called in a complaint about my wonton soup in my pick up order and was told I’m lying or bring the food back. So I’m supposed to pack up a soup that is packaged in two parts and bring it back up there while the rest of my food gets cold. The lady on the phone clearly didn’t care in the slightest about my complaint. When I told her that her attitude has resulted in a customer that will never come back she hung up. Completely shocked at tonight’s service. Will never return cause clearly they do not value...

Was hoping to find an email so I didn’t have to write a review, but it was my time ordering from here and the pad thai was good but I asked specifically if the spring rolls were homemade as I don’t like frozen bought and the gentleman on the phone said they were and they roll them and everything in house. When I got home I opened the box and could tell right away they weren’t made in house and took one bite just to make sure. I wish they were just honest. No judgement at all-homemade spring rolls are hard to find and I know its process to make. Just hate that I wasted money. Eating out...
