Overtime Taphouse — Restaurant in Camrose

I gave 4 stars as my companions had great appetizers. And the Waitress really was friendly.. the place was clean.. but my order was an issue.

Ingredient Portions were kinda skimpy I ordered a steak bite poutine comes with steak bites, onions, green peppers, cheese and steak sauce . I thought oh peppered steak poutine .. I could not be more wrong.

Now the reasonable part, it had 4 steak bites in it ( this i understand as it was a $3.00 extra charge from regular poutine so would just be a sample.. )

But it was the actual reason for choosing that menu item that was lacking Onion, green peppers ..steak sauce. ( Sounds like pepper steak right?? Wrong)

1 onion chunk and two peaces of half cm square' of green pepper..( which was over cooked as it was see through and greyish green, flavourless)

Are you kidding me?? As if it was luck of the draw what is pulled up in the soup server spoon that pours the gravy on a plate.

Onions and green peppers were not actually added to my meal.

Honestly ..I had a bowl of gravy .. with fries and cheese with 4 bites of steak

I had hoped when ordering it I would actually see the ingredients. But it arrived under a slew of light brown gravy.. hidden ,.. why?

only 2 fries were not fully drowned. I wanted a bit of savory . I love peppers and onions. And was looking forward to this mix in my fries. And it was supposed to come with steak sauce.. which is white according to the waitress, she pointed out my table buddies sauce,. Which was served with his Steak bites appetizer.. And said that's the steak sauce.

My "steak sauce " was not at all like his It was beef flavoured gravy.

It was good tasting.. but sadly lacked the onion and pepper taste. Or look.

I understand the steak bites ..being it was 3 dollars more then poutine. So this was actually how I was sampling it for the next meal .. I did not get to taste them... As they were in the stew slopped on my fries.. the gravy was all I could taste

But why go cheap on onions and peppers..

( And I did spend my whole time looking for the onions and peppers ..as it became the table joke since I was looking forward to them and then spent my meal seeking them out)

But I did not like watching my server...who had just wiped a counter and handled dirty dishes.. pick up my plate in kitchen . And scoop a soup ladle of gravy onto my plate. Drowning everything. before carrying it out to me.

Was the gravy a last thought to reheat my fries? As the steak bites were hot.. the...

I didn't want to have to leave a bad review, as the food here is good and the staff is friendly

But how many years has it been since we had a broken change table in the men's bathroom? How many times have I been told "We just had it fixed, but someone broke it" only for me to see it's still the exact same change table from last time, still broken

I'm literally talking YEARS of no good change tables

And I can understand they have maybe replaced them, and they have been broken... But both the men's AND women's bathroom have had the EXACT same broken change tables since 2024, while we are creeping up to 2026 already

It's so annoying having to hold the change table up with my leg, as I change my baby. That's so incredibly un-safe aswell.

And to just put a "out of service" sticker on the women's one, doesn't mean that people just don't have to change their babies anymore.

I'm surprised people aren't just changing their babies on the dining tables at this point, just to get some motion over in the "change table repair department". Because it's kinda rediculus....

If it is a actual issue, and your just now not replacing the change tables because they keep getting broken, then maybe do a different approach, such as a larger, more solid, change table that is actually a counter/table design, over the plastic commercial ones that you have.

Something a little harder to break kinda thing?... Or lock the change tables closed and only allow use when a parent needs it

Not to mention, the games they have on display have been broken and not working for ages, the Foose Ball table also has been broken, and literally could be fixed with a few simple screws, yet no one cares to actually take the 5 minutes and $3 to fix it. They'd rather leave everything out as if there's nothing wrong, waiting for the table to fall apart on someones feet

The whole place just seems to be kinda feeling neglected, and I hope you take my words as constructive criticism, and fix these issues... Since I am not the only person noticing these issues....

Came in for Brunch with my two friends and had a pretty awful experience. We waited for water for 15 minutes. Then another 15 minutes for our other drinks. Our server Chloe did not put our appetizers in first, so we received all our food at the same time. Pretty disappointing as the purpose of appetizers is to have something to snack on while waiting for our main courses. Asked for salt, pepper and maple syrup from our server. Never received them so had to ask another server. She was great and brought them out right away. When we got our bills, our server threw them on the table and walked away. Asked for another take out box, which was never brought from our server and had to ask another server. When we looked at our bills we realized we were charged for a double ceaser when we had asked for the Sunday special ceaser. Had to get a different server to fix it for us as our server was no where to be found. I should also add the restaurant was almost empty. Needless to say we will not...
