Final Score Sports Bar Carleton Place — Restaurant in Carleton Place

We attended Final Score for my sister's 60th birthday last night. First time I had been there. We chose here because they have activities like darts, pool table, kareoke and comedy shows etc. I will start off by saying our waiter was awesome! He was very attentive. Great service! No complaints there. What we were disappointed in was the food. We had heard the food was good here hence another reason we chose here. We had a party of 11 and sadly the food was not great. Anything fried was very overcooked. That or their cooking oil needed to be changed. The fries were the worst. No one ate their fries or ate very little of them. I did bring it to our waiters attention but he didn't address it. We just left it at that but it was disappointing. Lastly there was a party beside us of about 12 young people who were very loud and boisterous. This was 6:30-8 in the evening. Their noise did not allow our group to really enjoy our conversations. We thought the restaurant would ask them to quiet down. At least till later in the evening but they did not. We spoke to a few other patrons in for dinner and they felt the same. When speaking to my sister this morning we agreed her 60th birthday celebration was not what we hoped for. We are planning another dinner elsewhere. I am not saying I would not give this restaurant a second chance but hopefully the owner takes notes from this...

Dam it!, that was a fun night. The Yuk Yuk's comedy show was world class. The MC and comedian had me in stitches. My face hurt from laughing so much! The ladies bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I have seen in a public place for a long time. That goes a long way with me as when a bathroom is dirty I don't go back. Well done on keeping it clean! The whole experience was more than expected! The layout seemed great too. One challenge... If the staff were equipped with hand held POS machines linked to the kitchen, they may not have missed my last food order. They were busy so I get why they missed me, yet some added tech could help boost sales. Loved it. Mic is a real piece who likes to act like he wants things to be different but does nothing to make it that way. Then blames it on ohh we’re being investigated. Sorry I can’t give you more than 1 shot an hour instead of doing it cash like a true bartender. The lighting is fluorescent white which reminds me more of being in a hospital than a nice atmospheric bar. The turned off jukebox is a total vibe killer. if a bar had to turn off a jukebox it’s a horrible bar. The raise in prices was also unjustified givin it has physical appearance of an office building. Canceling ufc because of a bar fight is horrible ownership sometimes you gotta hire security even if you lose money because your serving YOUR customers.
