I just left a Tim Hortons in Fergus, ON (downtown location). I frequent Timmies 1-2x a week, typically in Guelph but was traveling through Fergus, so stopped there. My normal order is a medium iced capp, made with almond milk, and maybe a baked good. Today I wanted to try one of the new wraps, as well as my iced capp and a couple of plain timbits for my pup, who was taking advantage of a car ride! I went through the drive thru, thinking it'd be quicker. It wasn't. I got to the order speaker and placed my order. When I got to my iced capp, I was told it couldn't be made with almond milk due to potential allergies. This was a first for me. Since almond milk was first introduced at Tim Hortons, this is what I get. I don't drink dairy milk, and only use almond milk, even at home. So to be told that this specific location doesn't allow almond milk? I get that there are those with nut allergies - I understand. But with anything, if you have a nut allergy, you are aware that going to a place like Tim Hortons will expose you to possible but crossovers with the drinks and food there. It's just the way it is. So if I had a lactose intolerance, and needed almond milk, then what? No allowances for that? You can't choose one allergy pathway and not another. Anyway, that started my unhappiness. Once I was at the window, waiting for my order, I quickly received my drink and my pup's timbits. The wrap was another story. Pretty sure they had to go kill the chicken that was used for the wrap. I had to wait at the window for 7 minutes for the wrap. Thus is a drive thru, the point of which is to be quick. I was watching them reference a book (with pictures) making sure that they were making it correctly. So obviously I was the first wrap order?!?! Anyway, by the time it was handed to me (without apologies for the wait), the drive thru line up was now onto the street. I can't recommend this Timmies unfortunately. Poor...
Read moreHands down, the very worst Tim Hortons experience I have ever had.
While visiting Fergus for work, I entered the drive thru at this location - in all honesty, so I didn’t have to get out of my vehicle because of an injury I had gotten that day. There were no other customers ahead or behind me, but they made me pull around and wait in the parking area for my grilled cheese sandwich.
I waited for well over ten minutes, while only two other customers had come and gone through the drive thru, and only one customer was in line inside of the restaurant.
Despite my injury, I eventually went in to the restaurant and asked what was going on. One of the employees pointed to the woman who served me in the drive thru, and said “her,” at which point the “her” in question said, “I’ll start making it right now.”
I waited in a drive thru, and in front of the restaurant, for over ten minutes and my sandwich hadn’t even been started? I cannot stress how NOT busy this restaurant was, there is absolutely no explanation for this.
When I was finally given my sandwich, it wasn’t even warm - the cheese still cold and unmelted (for a grilled cheese, that’s pretty ridiculous), and better yet a completely stale donut was tossed in the bag as well! I’d be disgusted enough if I ordered a donut and was served that, let alone to have it tossed in with the pathetic excuse for grilled cheese.
Honestly, I get that things happen - but this was an absolutely abysmal and disgusting experience, and this location should truly be...

A BOTTLE OF WATER.... for me and a empty cup for my . it simply would have taken an easy " sir can you please next time wear a shirt next time you come in, i know there is no sign but there will be soon. i would appreciate it ." i would have taken my bottle of water i just paid for and cup, walked out and next time planned on bringing a t-shirt with me. now i will just plan a different run route, avoid that tim hortans and go to the other one in fergus if at all, becuase i only get a bottle on my run. i will also make sure that anyone im with avoids it and we just go to the one at the other end. absoulte disrespect, that old lady who worked today between 430-6 pm on cash who was low rank and should have kept her mouth shut. you lady...
