We went on a Friday evening, arriving a little bit before opening and there was already a group of people waiting. I'm not sure if they take reservations for only 2 people or small groups, but I suggest you get there before opening on typically busy nights if you don't have one, cause seats fill fast!! The decor is colorful, authentic and maximalist. I really love the tile work throughout, and the restaurant is as much of a feast for the eyes as it is your mouth. It also has a fun, upbeat atmosphere and nice view of the water out of the back windows. The food was hot, flavorful and hearty and came quickly. We split the queso fundido and the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp to start. Not pictured are the homemade tortillas they also gave us for the queso. The Chelada Papi I got to drink was refreshing and tangy. I had the Quesabirria as my main, and my partner got the Ensenada. Don't be deceived by the size of the quesabirria, it's dense and rich making it quite filling. We both left quite full, and it came to a bit over 50$ per person including drink, tax and tip. I look forward to going back next time we have something...
Read moreGreat ambiance, poor service, good food (I had the battered shrimp tacos; unfortunately the batter is soggy). The street food dishes are very expensive.
I heard great things about this restaurant and was very excited to try it out. Right off the bat, we were assigned a waitress with poor attitude, snarky comments and wasn't afraid to put clients in their place. Maybe it was her personality, but she (tall white brunette with tattoos) ruined the experience for us.
Beverage orders were brought at random, leaving one member of our party without a drink up until everyone had finished their first round; when we asked the hôtesse if the missing beverage was on it's way, the hôtesse enquired and our waitress (loudly) announced that the ordered had already been placed and that "ils n'ont qu'à attendre." Si ça prend 20min a faire un brevage, informer vos clients la prochaine fois!
All-in-all, our experience summary is; Very expensive authentic food, with slow and snarky service.
We will not recommend this restaurant unless someone is specifically looking for a...
Read moreI was so so so disappointed. Not sure I understand the big hype about this place. Probably because most people go to take pictures and do TikTok videos instead of really judging for what it is. Yes we were seated quickly, but it took 30 minutes just to get cups for the bottle of water on the table. The cups were so dirty, like unbelievably dirty, why does the waitress have to go outside on the terrace to get new ones when we are sitting inside? Only two girls for service in a full restaurant? We waited for over 30 minutes to get our drinks. We waited 1h30 to get our food. The taste was ordinary. I am still wondering where the filling was for the beef tacos…Definitely was still hungry when we left, after spending 200$ for 4 people. The drinks were good. I will not be going back and I do...
