Petinos Charlemagne — Restaurant in Charlemagne

Only giving written review because I'm asked to do so. I did not want to provide details but here we are. Experience could be different from one client to another.

Customer service was bad, we were told we could have a specific product, were served a different one we asked for non-lactose drink and were told it was going to be provided, then we were told it wasnt possible so we were given lactose in the drink. We also asked for extra cheese in one of the plates... in the food and were given 2 squares of cheese on a plate aside. Is as if there is no effort whatsoever. Just the bare minimum to get by. We asked for some ketchup, the ketchup was old, if you can't tell when ketchup is old (dark red color, stickier texture and certainly different taste. Same generic brand no excuse) , why even serve people at all.

The food was tasteless, the only thing that gave the food taste (one of the dishes), was the excessive amount of chocolate that hides any other taste, giving no sense to the whole thing. If I wanted to drink chocolate, I might as well go to super c and buy a bottle of it. The dish had tasteless fruits and lots of chocolate... is supposed to be composed of different flavors. This was clearly not the case.

The smoothies, were more like... a mountain of ice with a little bit of flavor. Simply the minimum effort to call it a smoothie.

Again, this is my personal point of view. If someone likes this... Then, go to this place.

I have not gone back to this restaurant and will never do so.

3 stars becuase google doesn't let us give 3.5. We were waiting for a while to be seated when the family in back of us walked in and were seated right away because they were for and we were only 3 🙄 my mother being handicapped having to wait all this time was pretty inconsiderable. Now I understand giving bigger tables to bigger groups but 2adults and 2 kids vs 3 adults won't change that much at a table considering the time we we're already waiting and extra time we had to wait. The family that came in after us had time to start eating even before we were seated. I did voice my opinion to the person seating us however his response was very defensive and basically just saying he new how to do his job which had nothing to do with what I stated. Now this being said we were off to a bad start, seated we were brought coffee in a dirty mug with leftover lipstick stains and our food was cold except for the pancakes. (which we did tell our waitress but nothing) My poached eggs came in a bowl with water?! I mean that's a first, I tried to get them out without the water but it just made a big mess in my plate. Aside from that, the food was delicious as always and the portions are more than enough, you definitely get you money's worth foodwise. And reguardless of the plate you take the food is always so tasty (but often cold). Overall the food is always good but definitely don't expect good service. Which is...

I dont know what the hell was happening here but honestly worst experience ever. 1st there was flies everywhere couldn’t eat in peace. 2nd i found a hair in my husbands omelet which i hadn’t seen earlier until we asked for takeout boxes because neither of ous finished our meal.

My husband was sure it was a cheese string but i insisted it wasn’t and checked it : it was a hair with dried eggs on it which clearly fell in the kitchen.

We told the waitress and she talked to her manager who was right behind us and had a really poor attitude. Came back after a while with the receipt and said she tried everything but couldn’t do anything because we told her in the end.

Its not the waitress’s fault but the manager definitely needs an attitude change speaking in English thinking we don’t understand was a poor choice to make...
